“ Son of man, mark out two roads for the sword of the king of Babylon to take, both starting from the same country. Make a signpost where the road branches off to the city.

“ Son of man, mark out on a map two roads for the sword to take. The sword belongs to the king of Babylon. Both roads start from the same country. Put up a sign where the road turns off to the city of Rabbah.

“ As for you, son of man, mark two ways for the sword of the king of Babylon to come. Both of them shall come from the same land. And make a signpost; make it at the head of the way to a city.

“ Son of man, make a map and trace two routes on it for the sword of Babylon’s king to follow. Put a signpost on the road that comes out of Babylon where the road forks into two—

“ Now you, son of man, mark out two roads that the sword of Babylon’s king can take. Both of them should originate from the same land. And make a signpost at the fork in the road to each city.

“ Now as for you, son of man, make two ways for the sword of the king of Babylon to come; both of them will go out of one land. And make a signpost; make it at the head of the way to the city.

“ And son of man, appoint for yourself two ways for the sword of the king of Babylon to go; both of them shall go from the same land. Make a sign; put it at the head of the road to the city.

Also, thou son of man, appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come; they twain shall come forth out of one land: and mark out a place, mark it out at the head of the way to the city.

“ You, son of man, mark out two routes for the king of Babylon’s sword to take; both of them will originate in a single land. Make a signpost and put it at the beginning of the road leading to the city.

“ Also, you son of man, appoint two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come. They both will come out of one land, and mark out a place. Mark it out at the head of the way to the city.

瞧吧，我今日立了你來管列邦列國，是要拔除，要拆毁，要毁滅，要傾覆，要建立，要栽植。』

『你呢、人子啊，你要拿一塊磚，擺在你面前，將一座城、耶路撒冷、畫在上頭。又立木柵圍困它，築壘倒土堆攻擊它，紮營攻打它，四圍設撞錘攻擊它。你要拿個鐵盤，放在你和城之間，作為鐵牆；將你的臉屹然不動地向着它，使城被圍困，而你堅持圍攻它。這要做以色列家的兆頭。

『人子啊，你要拿一把快刀，把它當做理髮匠的剃刀，去剃過你的頭髮跟鬍鬚，拿天平稱，將鬚髮平分。圍困這城的日子滿了，你要將三分之一在城中用燄火焚燒，將三分之一在城的四圍用刀剁碎，將三分之一給風吹散；我還要拔刀追趕他們。你要從其中拿出小數來，裝在你的衣邊裏。再從這些之中取些扔在火中，在火中焚燒；就必有火從那裏面出來燒入以色列全家。『主永恆主這麼說：這就是耶路撒冷；我曾將她安置在列國中央，列邦都在她四圍。她行惡地違背了我的典章、過於列國，干犯了我的律例、過於她四圍的列邦，因為我的典章她棄絕了，我的律例她並沒有遵行。故此主永恆主這麼說：因為你們顯露動亂過於你們四圍的列國；我的律例你們並不遵行，我的典章你們並不謹守；你們四圍列國的規矩你們反而謹守；因此主永恆主這麼說：看吧，連我也跟你為敵；我必在你中間施行判罰，讓列國親眼看見。並且因你一切可厭惡的事我要辦你，就是我所未曾行過的，以後也不再照樣行的。因此在你中間父親必喫兒子，兒子必喫父親；我必向你施行判罰，使你餘剩之民都四散於四方。故此主永恆主發神諭說：我指着永活的我來起誓，你既用你一切可憎之像和你一切可厭惡的事來污瀆我的聖所，我就一定要將你剪除；我眼必不顧惜你，我必不可憐你。你的三分之一必在你中間因瘟疫而死，因饑荒而消滅；三分之一必在你四圍倒斃於刀下；三分之一我必給四散於四方；我還要拔刀追趕他們。『這樣我的怒氣就得以發盡，我就得以平息我向他們發的烈怒；我平息了妒憤，他們就知道我永恆主向他們發盡了我的烈怒是懷着妒愛而說話的。並且我必使你在你四圍的列國中、在經過的眾人眼前、成了荒廢和羞辱的對象。這樣，我就要以怒氣以烈怒、以烈怒的責打向你施判罰，那時你就在你四圍的列國中成了令人羞辱、令人毁謗、令人警戒、驚駭的對象：這是我永恆主說的。那時我必將饑荒的惡箭射在你們身上，這箭是能毁滅人的，就是我要發射去毁滅你們的；我必將饑荒增加給你們，折斷你們糧食的支杖。我必打發饑荒和惡獸去攻擊你，使你喪失兒子；瘟疫和流血的事必流行於你中間；我必使刀劍來擊打你；這是我永恆主說的。
