爾奉禮物、使子經火、崇拜偶像、自染污衊、迄於今日乎、以色列家歟、我豈聽爾之諮諏乎、主耶和華曰、我指己生而誓、不聽爾之諮諏、

以色列族乎、爾獻子女、焚之以火、崇事偶像、自沾污衊、今日乃來問我、我耶和華、指己而誓、不許爾與我言。

When you offer your gifts— the sacrifice of your children in the fire— you continue to defile yourselves with all your idols to this day. Am I to let you inquire of me, you Israelites? As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I will not let you inquire of me.

You make yourselves‘ unclean’ by offering sacrifices to other gods. You even sacrifice your children in the fire. You continue to do these things to this day. People of Israel, should I let you ask me for advice? I will not let you do that,” announces the Lord and King.“ And that is just as sure as I am alive.

When you present your gifts and offer up your children in fire, you defile yourselves with all your idols to this day. And shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, declares the Lord God, I will not be inquired of by you.

For when you offer gifts to them and give your little children to be burned as sacrifices, you continue to pollute yourselves with idols to this day. Should I allow you to ask for a message from me, O people of Israel? As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, I will tell you nothing.

他們在欣嫩子谷的陀斐特建造邱壇，焚燒自己的兒女。我從未吩咐他們這樣做，連想都沒想過。這不是我的吩咐，我也從未這樣想過。

他們把自己的兒女當祭物獻給鬼魔，他們把自己的兒女獻給迦南的神像作祭物，流他們兒女無辜的血，玷污了那地方。他們的行為玷污了自己，使自己淪為淫婦。

人若不聽從律法，他的禱告也可憎。

「人子啊，你要告訴他們，主耶和華這樣說，『你們是來求問我嗎？我憑我的永恆起誓，我決不讓你們求問。』

他們為巴力建邱壇，燒死自己的兒子作燔祭獻給巴力。我從未吩咐他們這樣做，連提都沒提過，連想都沒想過。

祂說，『我曾呼喚他們，他們不聽；將來他們呼求我，我也不聽。

他們禁食，我也不會聽他們的呼求；他們獻上燔祭和素祭，我也不會悅納。我要用戰爭、饑荒和瘟疫滅絕他們。」

「人子啊，這些人在心裡立起偶像，把導致犯罪的絆腳石放在自己面前，我豈能讓他們來求問？你告訴他們，主耶和華這樣說，『任何以色列人若在心裡立起偶像，把導致犯罪的絆腳石放在自己面前，又來求問先知，我耶和華必按他心中假神的數目親自用懲罰回答他，

因為不敬虔的人將被剷除，上帝將奪去他的性命。那時，他還有何指望？

後來，其他伴娘回來了，喊道，『主啊！主啊！請給我們開門吧！』「新郎卻說，『我實在告訴你們，我不認識你們。』

你們彼此衝突、互相鬥毆的起因是什麼呢？不就是你們身體中不斷交戰的慾望嗎？你們貪心，得不到就去殺人。你們嫉妒，得不到就爭吵、打鬥。你們得不到是因為你們不向上帝祈求。你們求也得不到是因為你們動機不純，只求享樂和滿足自己的慾望。

你還把你給我生的兒女燒作燔祭獻給偶像。難道你淫亂還不夠嗎？

以利沙對以色列王說：「我與你有什麼關係？你去問你父母的先知吧！」以色列王說：「不要這樣說，耶和華招聚我們三王，是要把我們交給摩押王！」以利沙說：「我事奉的是永活的萬軍之耶和華，我憑祂起誓，若不是看猶大王約沙法的情面，我決不理你，也不會見你。

倘若我心中藏匿罪惡，主必不垂聽我的呼求。

那時，恐懼如風暴襲擊你們，災難如旋風臨到你們，憂愁和苦難吞沒你們。你們呼求我，我也不回答；你們懇切地尋找我，卻找不到。

他豈會以全能者為樂，時時求告上帝？

你們當中不可有人焚燒自己的子女作祭物，不可有人占卜、算命、作法、行邪術、念咒、做靈媒、行巫術或求問亡靈。凡做這些事的人都是耶和華所憎惡的。正是因為當地的民族做這些可憎之事，你們的上帝耶和華才要當著你們的面把他們趕走。

掃羅看見非利士軍隊聲勢浩大，感到膽戰心驚，就求問耶和華，但耶和華沒有藉著夢、烏陵或先知回答他。

你們舉手禱告，我必掩面不理。即使你們禱告再多，我也不會聽，因為你們雙手沾滿鮮血。
