被殺的人必倒在你們中間，你們就知道我是耶和華。

不可使你的兒女經火歸與摩洛，也不可褻瀆你神的名。我是耶和華。

耶和華啊，你為何使我們走差離開你的道，使我們心裏剛硬、不敬畏你呢？求你為你僕人，為你產業支派的緣故，轉回來。

並且你將給我所生的兒女焚獻給他。你行淫亂豈是小事，竟將我的兒女殺了，使他們經火歸與他嗎？

又使他們的兒女經火，用占卜，行法術賣了自己，行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，惹動他的怒氣。

你們奉上供物使你們兒子經火的時候，仍將一切偶像玷污自己，直到今日嗎？以色列家啊，我豈被你們求問嗎？主耶和華說：我指着我的永生起誓，我必不被你們求問。

我必使他們在圍困窘迫之中，就是仇敵和尋索其命的人窘迫他們的時候，各人吃自己兒女的肉和朋友的肉。』

這是怎麼樣呢？以色列人所求的，他們沒有得着。惟有蒙揀選的人得着了；其餘的就成了頑梗不化的。如經上所記：神給他們昏迷的心，眼睛不能看見，耳朵不能聽見，直到今日。大衛也說：願他們的筵席變為網羅，變為機檻，變為絆腳石，作他們的報應。願他們的眼睛昏矇，不得看見；願你時常彎下他們的腰。

並在欣嫩子谷使他的兒女經火，又觀兆，用法術，行邪術，立交鬼的和行巫術的，多行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，惹動他的怒氣，

他們在欣嫩子谷建築巴力的邱壇，好使自己的兒女經火歸摩洛；他們行這可憎的事，使猶大陷在罪裏，這並不是我所吩咐的，也不是我心所起的意。」

正如主的律法上所記：「凡頭生的男子必稱聖歸主。」）
