我在曠野也曾經向他們舉手起誓，要把他們分散在列國，四散在萬邦；

并且我在旷野向他们起誓，必将他们分散在列国，四散在列邦；

彼尚在曠野、不守我法度、藐視我禮儀、犯我安息日、崇敬列祖所拜之偶像、我誓必散之於異邦族類中、

我亦在曠野為之發誓、必散之於異邦、播之於列國、

我要把你們分散在萬國中，我又拔出刀來追趕你們；你們的地成為荒涼，你們的城市變成荒場。

我在曠野也曾經向他們舉手起誓，必不領他們到我賜給他們的流奶與蜜之地，就是萬邦中最榮美的地。

耶和華必使你分散在萬民中，從地的這邊到地的那邊；在那裡你要事奉你和你的列祖不認識的別的神，就是木頭和石頭做的神。在那些國中，你必不得安息，也沒有腳掌歇息的地方；耶和華卻必使你在那裡心中發顫，眼目憔悴，精神頹廢。你未來的生命必懸而不定；你必晝夜恐懼，生命難保。因你心裡的懼怕驚恐和你眼中看見的景象，早晨你必說：‘但願現在是晚上！’晚上你必說：‘但願現在是早晨！’耶和華必用船把你送回埃及去，走我曾經告訴你，你不得再見的那條路；在那裡你們必賣身給你的仇敵作奴僕和作婢女，卻沒有人買。”

我看見那站在海上和地上的天使，向天舉起右手來，指著那活到永永遠遠，創造天和天上之物、地和地上之物、海和海中之物的神起誓，說：“必不再延遲了！

使他們的後裔四散在萬國中，使他們分散在各地。

我向天舉手說：我活到永永遠遠；

我原想：“我要把他們分散到各處，把他們的名號都從人間除滅。”但我懼怕仇人激動我，恐怕敵人誤會了，又恐怕他們說：“是我們的手高舉了，並不是耶和華作了這一切事。”’

“因猶大王希西家的兒子瑪拿西在耶路撒冷的所作所為，我必使地上萬國看見他們的遭遇就驚恐。”
