“‘我在旷野曾对他们的子孙说，不要效法你们祖先的律例，不要遵守他们的规条，不要拜他们的偶像，以致玷污自己。

“‘我在旷野对他们的儿女说：不要遵行你们祖先的律例，不要谨守他们的典章，也不要因他们的偶像玷污自己。

我在曠野、諭其子女曰、勿循爾父之典章、勿從其律例、勿以其偶像自染污衊、

當彼在曠野時、我告其子孫曰、勿效列祖之尤、勿從其所行、勿拜其所崇之偶像、自致污衊、

我在曠野、諭其子孫曰、勿從爾祖父之習俗、勿守其陋規、勿因其偶像、自染污穢、

I said to their children in the wilderness,“ Do not follow the statutes of your parents or keep their laws or defile yourselves with their idols.

I spoke to their children there. I said,‘ Do not follow the rules your parents gave you. Do not obey their laws. Do not make yourselves“ unclean” by worshiping their gods.

“ And I said to their children in the wilderness,‘ Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers, nor keep their rules, nor defile yourselves with their idols.

“ Then I warned their children not to follow in their parents’ footsteps, defiling themselves with their idols.

“‘ Then I said to their children in the wilderness,“ Don’t follow the statutes of your fathers, defile yourselves with their idols, or keep their ordinances.

“ Instead, I said to their children in the wilderness,‘ Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers or keep their ordinances or defile yourselves with their idols.

“ But I said to their children in the wilderness,‘ Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers, nor observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols.

And I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their ordinances, nor defile yourselves with their idols.

“ Then I said to their children in the wilderness: Don’t follow the statutes of your fathers, defile yourselves with their idols, or keep their ordinances.

But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols:

“‘ But I said to their children in the wilderness,“ Do not follow the practices of your fathers; do not observe their regulations, nor defile yourselves with their idols.

I said to their children in the wilderness,‘ Don’t walk in the statutes of your fathers. Don’t observe their ordinances or defile yourselves with their idols.

我對他們說：你們各人要拋棄你們眼中那些可憎的像，不可因埃及的偶像玷污自己：我是耶和華你們的神。

耶和華因巴力．毗珥的事所行的，你們都親眼看見了；所有跟隨巴力．毗珥的人，耶和華你們的神都從你們中間消滅了。只有你們緊緊倚靠耶和華你們的神的人，今日全都活著。看哪，我照著耶和華我的神吩咐我的，把律例和典章教訓你們，好讓你們在將要進去得為業的地上遵行。所以你們要謹守遵行，因為在萬民的眼中看來，這就是你們的智慧和聰明；他們一聽見這一切律例，就必定說：‘這大國的人真是有智慧，有聰明啊。’

因為知道你們得贖，脫去你們祖先傳下的妄行，不是憑著能壞的金銀等物，

“耶和華曾對你們的列祖大發烈怒，所以，你要對眾民說：‘萬軍之耶和華這樣說：你們要轉向我（這是萬軍之耶和華的宣告），我就必轉向你們（這是萬軍之耶和華說的）。不要效法你們的列祖那樣，從前的先知呼喚他們：萬軍之耶和華這樣說，你們要回轉，離開你們的惡道和惡行。他們卻不聽從，也不理會我（這是耶和華的宣告）。

我領你們進入這肥美之地，得吃其中的果子和美物；可是你們一進來，就玷污了我的地；你們使我的產業成為可憎惡的。

好使後代的人，包括將要出生的兒女，都可以知道；他們也要起來，告訴他們的子孫，使他們信靠神，不忘記神的作為，謹守他的誡命；免得他們像他們的列祖，成了頑梗悖逆的一代，心不堅定的一代，他們的心對神不忠。

至於你們，你們的屍體必倒在這曠野。你們的兒女必在曠野飄流四十年，擔當你們背信之罪，直到你們的屍體在曠野都滅盡了。

“你們頸項剛硬、心和耳都未受割禮的人哪！你們時常抗拒聖靈，你們的祖先怎樣，你們也怎樣。

因以色列把自己的淫行視作等閒，去與石頭木頭行淫，就把這地玷污了。

你們有禍了！因為你們修造先知的墳墓，而那些先知正是你們祖先所殺的，這樣，你們就成了證人，對你們祖先的作為表示同意；他們殺害先知，你們修造先知的墳墓。

耶和華的怒氣向以色列人發作，使他們在曠野飄流了四十年，等到在耶和華眼前行惡的那一代都滅盡了。現在，你們這些罪人的族類，也來接替你們的先祖，增添耶和華對以色列的烈怒！如果你們轉離，不跟從他，他再要把以色列人撇在曠野，這樣，你們就要把整個民族都毀滅了。”
