然以色列族在曠野、違逆乎我、不遵我禮儀、犯我安息日、浸假有人守我法度、則可保生、惟彼藐視之、故我自謂、必在曠野、震怒斯眾、滅之務盡。

“‘ Yet the people of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness. They did not follow my decrees but rejected my laws— by which the person who obeys them will live— and they utterly desecrated my Sabbaths. So I said I would pour out my wrath on them and destroy them in the wilderness.

“‘ “But in the desert the people of Israel refused to obey me. They did not follow my rules. They turned their backs on my laws. The person who obeys them will live by them. They totally misused my Sabbath days. So I said I would pour out my great anger on them. I would destroy them in the desert.

But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness. They did not walk in my statutes but rejected my rules, by which, if a person does them, he shall live; and my Sabbaths they greatly profaned.“ Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them in the wilderness, to make a full end of them.

“ But the people of Israel rebelled against me, and they refused to obey my decrees there in the wilderness. They wouldn’t obey my regulations even though obedience would have given them life. They also violated my Sabbath days. So I threatened to pour out my fury on them, and I made plans to utterly consume them in the wilderness.

“‘ But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness. They did not follow my statutes and they rejected my ordinances— the person who does them will live by them. They also completely profaned my Sabbaths. So I considered pouring out my wrath on them in the wilderness to put an end to them.

惟其子女背我、不循我典章、不從我律例、人若遵行、則緣之得生、且犯我安息日、我則曰、必在曠野傾我怒、盡洩我忿於其身、

惟彼違逆、而不聽我、不棄所慕可惡之物、不離埃及之偶像、故彼尚在埃及、我曰、必傾我怒、盡洩我忿於其身、

附耶和華之異邦人、供其役事、敬愛耶和華名、為之臣僕、守安息而不褻慢、堅守其盟約、

因其不遵我律例、違棄我典章、犯我安息日、注目厥父之偶像、

爾在何烈、激耶和華怒、耶和華意欲滅爾、

耶和華諭摩西曰、斯民輕我、將至何時、我於其中行斯異蹟、而彼仍弗信我、將至何時、我必降疫癘以擊之、絕之於其業、使爾後裔為國、較彼尤大且強、

爾尸必僵於斯野、爾中見核而怨我者、自二十歲以上、

爾且聽我、予赫斯怒、盡滅是族、使爾後裔成為大邦、

斯民既於埃及暨曠野、見我榮光、及所行之異蹟、而猶試我、至於十次、不聽我言、

諭曰、爾其速下、爾之民、爾所導出埃及者、已自敗壞、我所諭之道、彼速違之、為己鑄像、又曰、我觀斯民、強項者流、爾且聽我、我殲滅之、塗其名於天下、使爾後裔為國、較彼尤大且強、我轉而下山、厥火炎炎、盟約之版、在於我手、我乃望見、爾獲罪於爾上帝耶和華、鑄造犢像、速違耶和華所諭之道、我擲手中二版、碎於爾前、如昔伏於耶和華前、四十晝夜、不食不飲、因爾犯罪行惡、激耶和華怒、耶和華忿怒威烈、將殲滅爾、我畏懼之、然彼尚允我所祈、時、耶和華甚怒亞倫、將行翦滅、我為之祈、爾之罪戾、即造犢像、我燬之以火、擣磨成塵、揚於自山而流之溪、爾在他備拉、瑪撒、基博羅哈他瓦、激耶和華怒、耶和華命爾離加低斯巴尼亞、曰、往得我所賜爾之地、是時爾乃逆爾上帝耶和華、不信其言、不聽其命、自我識爾之日、爾違逆耶和華、

耶和華曰、猶大干罪、至三至四、我不挽回厥罰、以其棄耶和華之法律、不守其典章、厥祖所行之虛誕、使之迷惘、

棄我典章、蔑我律例、違我誡命、背我盟約、

故拒之者非拒人、乃拒賜聖神之上帝也、○

至七日、民有出而斂者、索之不得、耶和華諭摩西曰、爾曹不守我誡、不遵我律、將至何時、

耶和華諭摩西亞倫曰、爾其離此會眾、俟我滅之於俄頃、

遽爾忘其作為、不俟其旨兮、在曠野縱其欲、在荒原試上帝兮、遂以所求賜之、惟使其神衰弱兮、民在營中、媢嫉摩西、及耶和華之聖者亞倫兮、地則坼裂、吞大坍、掩亞比蘭黨兮、火爇其黨、焰焚惡人兮、民在何烈製犢、崇拜鑄像兮、如是以彼之榮、易為嚙芻之牛像兮、忘其救者上帝、行大事於埃及、施異蹟於含地、行可畏之事於紅海兮、是以上帝有言、必翦滅之、惟所選之摩西、當其衝、立其前、挽回其怒、免行翦滅兮、民亦蔑視美地、不信其言、在幕中出怨言、弗聽耶和華命兮、彼遂舉手而誓曰、必仆之於野、踣其裔於列國、散之於各地兮、民亦契於巴力毘珥、食祭死物之品兮、如是而行、致激厥怒、疫癘流行其中兮、時非尼哈起而行罰、瘟災以息兮、此為其義、歷世靡暨兮、民在米利巴水、復干厥怒、累及摩西兮、因民悖逆其神、彼則口出躁言兮、

我所諭之道、彼速違之、鑄犢崇拜祭祀、曰以色列人歟、此即導爾出埃及之神也、

自我導之出埃及、迄於今日、彼之所行、離我而事他神、今待爾亦若是、

蓋彼棄我律例、違我典章、犯我安息日、狥欲於偶像、

此以薩迦之室家、見核者、計六萬四千三百人、○

蓋我知爾悖逆強項、我今猶存、與爾同在、爾尚悖逆耶和華、況我歿後乎、

離此會眾、我將滅之於俄頃、二人俯伏、

拒摩西之律者、有二三人為證、其死無恤、況踐踏上帝子、以所由成聖之約血為俗、且狎侮施恩之神、爾意若人受刑、其重為何如乎、

既藐視耶和華之言、干犯其命、則必見絕、厥罪歸之、○以色列族居野時、遇人於安息日採薪、攜之至摩西亞倫及會眾前、囚之於獄、因未定擬何以處之、耶和華諭摩西曰、其人必殺勿赦、會眾當於營外擊之以石、遂攜出營外、以石擊斃之、遵耶和華所諭摩西之命、○

彼既蔑視我律例、心厭我典章、致離故土、使田荒寂、於無人時、得享安息、代民服罪、

彼在曠野悖逆之、在荒原憂戚之、何其屢乎、復試上帝、激觸以色列之聖者兮、

惟我列祖、驕矜強項、不聽爾命、不肯順從、不念爾於其中所行之奇事、強項悖逆、自立一帥、欲返奴隸之境、惟爾上帝、樂於赦宥、仁慈矜憫、遲於發怒、富有恩惠、不離棄之、彼眾鑄犢、自謂此為導爾出埃及之上帝、大干震怒、

惟民叛逆、使其聖神懷憂、故轉為讐、而自攻之、

勿剛愎乃心、如在米利巴、在曠野瑪撒之日兮、維時、爾祖見我所為、猶探我試我兮、歷年四十、我厭此代曰、斯民心迷、未識我途兮、故我怒而誓曰、彼必不得入我安息兮、

輕道義者、自取敗亡、畏誡命者、必得賞賚、

爾何藐視耶和華命、行其所惡、藉亞捫族之刃、擊殺赫人烏利亞、而取其妻為妻、

我之規訓、爾蔑視之、我之斥責、爾弗受之、
