“人子啊！至於你，雖然荊棘和蒺藜在你周圍，你又住在蠍子群中，你不要怕他們，也不要怕他們講的話。他們原是叛逆的民族，你總不要怕他們講的話，在他們面前，也不要驚惶。

And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them or their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns are all around you and you live among scorpions. Do not be afraid of what they say or be terrified by them, though they are a rebellious people.

“ Son of man, do not fear them or their words. Don’t be afraid even though their threats surround you like nettles and briers and stinging scorpions. Do not be dismayed by their dark scowls, even though they are rebels.

“ But you, son of man, do not be afraid of them and do not be afraid of their words, even though briers and thorns are beside you and you live among scorpions. Don’t be afraid of their words or discouraged by the look on their faces, for they are a rebellious house.

And as for you, son of man, you are not to fear them nor fear their words, though thistles and thorns are with you and you sit on scorpions; you are not to fear their words nor be dismayed at their presence, since they are a rebellious house.

“ And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you dwell among scorpions; do not be afraid of their words or dismayed by their looks, though they are a rebellious house.

But you, son of man, do not fear them, and do not fear their words– even though briers and thorns surround you and you live among scorpions– do not fear their words and do not be terrified of the looks they give you, for they are a rebellious house!

你不要怕他們，因為我與你同在，要拯救你。”這是耶和華的宣告。

他們中最好的，也不過像荊棘，最正直的，也不過是有刺的籬笆。你的守望者所預言的日子，和你被鑒察的時候，已經來到；現在他們必要慌亂不安。

“因此，你要束腰，你要起來，把我吩咐你的一切話，都告訴他們。不要因他們驚惶，不然我就使你在他們面前驚惶。

我已經給你們權柄，去踐踏蛇和蠍子，勝過仇敵的一切能力。絕對沒有甚麼能傷害你們了。

“我，我耶和華是安慰你們的；你是誰，竟怕那會死的人，怕那被造如草的世人呢？

因著信，他離開了埃及，不怕王的忿怒；因為他堅定不移，就像看見了人不能看見的神。

就算你們要為義受苦，也是有福的。“不要怕人的恐嚇，也不要畏懼。”

因為神所賜給我們的，不是膽怯的靈，而是有能力、仁愛、自律的靈。

有一種人眼目多麼高傲，他們的眼睛，長在頂上。有一種人牙如劍，齒如刀，要吞滅地上的困苦人和世人中的貧窮人。

“我的朋友，我告訴你們，那殺身體以後不能再作甚麼的，不要怕他們。

也要為我祈求，使我傳講的時候，得著當說的話，可以坦然無懼地講明福音的奧祕，

看哪！我要使你的臉像他們的臉一樣堅硬，使你的前額像他們的前額一樣堅硬。我要使你的額好像最堅硬的寶石，比火石更硬。他們雖然是叛逆的民族，你卻不要怕他們，在他們面前，也不要驚惶。”

耶和華的使者對以利亞說：“你和他下去吧，不要怕他。”於是以利亞起來，和他下山到王那裡去了。

邪惡像火一般焚燒，吞滅荊棘蒺藜，連樹林中的密叢也燒起火來，它們旋轉上騰，成了煙柱。

那些殺身體卻不能殺靈魂的，不要怕他們；倒要怕那位能把靈魂和身體都投入地獄裡的。

我要使你的舌頭貼住上膛，使你變成啞巴，不能作責備他們的人，因為他們是叛逆的民族。但我對你說話的時候，我必開你的口，你就要對他們說：‘主耶和華這樣說。’肯聽的就讓他聽，不肯聽的，就由他不聽吧，因為他們是叛逆的民族。”

甚麼事都不怕有反對你們的人，這就證明他們要滅亡，你們要得救，這都是出於神。

伯特利的祭司亞瑪謝派人向以色列王耶羅波安報告：“阿摩司在以色列家中圖謀背叛你，這國家不能容忍他說的話；因為阿摩司這樣說：‘耶羅波安必死在刀下，以色列必被擄，離開本國。’”亞瑪謝對阿摩司說：“你這個先見，走吧！滾回猶大地去；在那裡你可以找食，在那裡你可以說預言。但不要再在伯特利說預言，因為這裡是王的聖所，是王國的聖殿。”阿摩司回答亞瑪謝說：“我原不是先知，也不是先知的門徒；我本是牧人，是修理桑樹的，但耶和華選召我，叫我不再跟隨羊群；他對我說：‘你去，向我民以色列說預言。’現在你要聽耶和華的話；因為你說：‘不要說預言攻擊以色列，不要說攻擊以撒家的話。’所以，耶和華這樣說：‘你妻子必在城中作妓女，你的兒女必倒在刀下；你的土地必被人量度瓜分，你自己必死在不潔之地；以色列必被擄，離開本國。’”

他們看見彼得和約翰的膽量，也知道這兩個人是沒有學問的平民，就很驚奇；同時認出他們是跟耶穌一夥的，

主啊，他們恐嚇我們，現在求你鑒察，也賜你僕人們大有膽量，傳講你的道。

至於我，我卻藉著耶和華的靈，滿有力量、公平和能力，可以向雅各述說他的過犯，向以色列指出他的罪惡。

四圍一切恨惡以色列家的人，必不再向他們作刺人的荊棘、使人痛苦的蒺藜。人就知道我是主耶和華。

他們說：“來吧！我們來設計對付耶利米；因為祭司的律法、智慧人的謀略、先知的話都不會斷絕。來吧！我們用舌頭攻擊他，不理會他的一切話。”

流氓卻像荊棘被丟棄，人不敢用手拿它。人要碰它，必須帶備鐵器和槍桿，他們要在原地被火徹底燒毀。”

彼得和約翰回答：“聽從你們過於聽從神，在神面前對不對，你們自己說吧！

有蝗蟲從煙裡出來到了地上；有能力賜給牠們，好像地上蠍子的能力一樣。有話吩咐牠們，不可傷害地上的草，和所有青翠的東西，以及所有的樹木，只可傷害那些額上沒有神印記的人。蝗蟲沒有能力殺死他們，只可使他們受痛苦五個月。他們的痛苦就像人給蠍子螫了的痛苦一樣。在那些日子，人要求死，卻決不得死；切願要死，死卻遠離他們。

認識公義，把我的訓誨存在心裡的人民哪！你們要聽我的話。你們不要怕人的辱罵，也不要因人的毀謗而驚惶。

他們都是十分悖逆的人，到處搬弄是非。他們是銅是鐵，他們都是敗壞的。
