And whether they listen or fail to listen— for they are a rebellious people— they will know that a prophet has been among them.

They might listen, or they might not. After all, they refuse to obey me. But whether they listen or not, they will know that a prophet was among them.

保羅和巴拿巴就放膽直言，說：「神的話語先傳給你們是必須的。既然你們棄絕這道，斷定自己不配得永恆的生命，看哪，我們就轉向外邦人，

如果我沒有來，也沒有教導他們，他們就沒有罪；但如今，他們的罪無可推諉了。

你們進了他家，要祝那家平安。如果那一家是配得的，你們的平安就臨到那一家；如果那家是不配得的，你們的平安就歸回你們。如果有人不接受你們，也不聽你們的話語，你們離開那家那城的時候，要把腳上的塵土跺掉。我確實地告訴你們：在那審判的日子，所多瑪和格摩拉之地所受的，將要比那城還容易受呢！

因為在神面前，無論在得救的人中間，還是在滅亡的人中間，我們都是基督的馨香：對滅亡的人，我們是死亡的香氣以至於死亡；對得救的人，我們是生命的香氣以至於生命。對這些事，到底誰配得上呢？實際上，我們不像許多人那樣，用神的話語來做生意；相反，我們是出於真誠、出於神，在神面前、在基督裡講話。

即使他們中有些人不信，到底又怎麼樣呢？難道他們的不信會使神的信實無效嗎？

無論進哪一個城，如果人們不接受你們，你們就到大街上去，說『連那沾在我們腳上的你們城裡的塵土，我們也要當著你們擦掉，不過你們應當知道：神的國近了。』我告訴你們：在那日，所多瑪所受的，將要比那城還容易受呢！
