不管那群叛逆的人聽不聽，他們都會知道有一位先知在他們當中。

And whether they listen or fail to listen— for they are a rebellious people— they will know that a prophet has been among them.

They might listen, or they might not. After all, they refuse to obey me. But whether they listen or not, they will know that a prophet was among them.

And whether they hear or refuse to hear( for they are a rebellious house) they will know that a prophet has been among them.

And whether they listen or refuse to listen— for remember, they are rebels— at least they will know they have had a prophet among them.

看吧，我所說的必定應驗。當一切應驗的時候，他們就知道有先知在他們當中。」

但當我對你說話的時候，我必開啟你的口，你要向他們宣告，『主耶和華這樣說。』肯聽的就讓他聽，不肯聽的就由他不聽，因為他們是一群叛逆的人。」

保羅和巴拿巴毫不畏懼地說：「上帝的道本該先傳給你們，你們既然拒絕接受，認為自己不配得永生，我們現在就把這道傳給外族人。

我如果沒有來教導他們，他們就沒有罪了，但現在他們的罪無可推諉。

你們進他家的時候，要為他們祝福。如果那家配得福氣，你們的祝福必臨到他們；如果那家不配蒙福，祝福仍歸給你們。如果有人不接待你們，不聽你們傳的信息，你們離開那家或那城時，就把腳上的塵土跺掉作為對他們的警告。我實在告訴你們，在審判之日，他們所受的痛苦比所多瑪和蛾摩拉所受的還大！

他們是叛逆的，不論他們聽不聽，你都要把我的話告訴他們。

不論是在得救的人當中還是在滅亡的人當中，對上帝來說，我們都是基督的馨香之氣。對滅亡的人而言，這香氣是叫人死亡的香氣；對得救的人來說，這香氣卻是叫人得生命的香氣。誰能擔當這樣的重任呢？我們並不像許多人為了謀利而出賣上帝的道。我們是上帝差遣的，在上帝面前靠著基督誠誠實實地講道。

雖然有些人不相信，但那有什麼關係呢？難道上帝的信實可靠會因他們的不信而化為無有嗎？

如果你警告惡人離開罪惡的行徑，他卻不聽，他必因自己的罪惡而死，他的死與你無關。

但如果哪一個城鎮的人不歡迎你們，你們就到街上宣告，『就連你們城裡的塵土粘在我們腳上，我們都要跺掉，但是要知道，上帝的國臨近了。』我告訴你們，在審判之日，那城所受的刑罰將比所多瑪所受的還重！

祂又說：「人子啊，你要留心聽我說的一切話，牢記在心。你要到你那些被擄的同胞那裡，不論他們聽不聽，你都要向他們宣告，『主耶和華這樣說。』」

如果你已經告誡他，他還是不肯離開自己的邪惡和罪行，他必死在罪惡之中，而你必免於罪責。
