自古在昔、爾攜葡萄、出於埃及、驅逐異邦之民、植於斯土、開墾土壤、使彼根深、蔓延於地兮、彼樹之蔭、遍覆山崗、枝柯甚大、如柏香木兮、其枝至於滄海、其幹近於大河兮、

爾之上帝耶和華、導爾入腴壤、水泉溪河、深淵皆出自陵谷、

如陵谷之開廣、如園囿之臨河、如耶和華之植奇南香、如溪旁之有柏香木。其裔熾昌、如泉滂沛、其王高於亞甲、其國可得振興。

請復聽一譬、有家主樹葡萄園、以籬環之、中掘酒醡、建塔租與農夫、遂往異地、果期、遣僕、就農夫收果、農夫執其僕、扑一、殺一、石擊一、復遣他僕、較先尤眾、農夫待之如故、後遣其子、意謂必敬我子矣、農夫見其子、則私語曰、此其嗣子、且來殺之、業可據矣、遂執之、出諸園外、殺焉、園主至、將何以處此、曰、其必翦滅此惡人、租園與他農、可按時納果也、

日漸生長、枝葉蔓延、其巔不高、枝向乎鷹、根結於土、遂發巨幹、其葉葱蘢、

我將使之統轄四海、掌理江河兮、彼將呼余謂父、謂上帝、謂救主兮、我必立之為冢子、高於天下列王兮、永施仁慈、與彼立約兮、克昌厥後、至於恆久、國祚永綏、與天同休兮、

曰、爾母將何以譬之、有若牝獅、伏於眾獅間、撫育稚獅。

此子之母狥欲、所作之事、言之甚醜、彼曰、我之所懽、予我飲食、贈我枲綿、饋我酒油、我必從之、

良友有園、栽植葡萄、因作歌以賦其事、歌曰、良友有園、栽植葡萄、在彼山岡、其地膏腴、開墾土壤、掃除沙石、擇其嘉種、植之於中、建峻臺、掘酒醡、冀結嘉實、反生惡果、園主曰、猶大耶路撒冷之居民、今汝觀我葡萄園、辨其是非、我栽培此園、無以復加、冀結嘉實、乃生惡果、何也、

當告爾母、彼非我妻、我非其夫、彼當去淫行、勿為男擁抱、

人子、葡萄之樹、豈得於林中眾木、等量齊觀乎。其木不適於用、不能作釘藉以懸物、人投之火、焚其兩端、並燬其中、安能適於用哉、其木尚全、猶難適用、既焚之後、復何所用。主耶和華曰、若林木中、有葡萄樹、投之於火、別無所用、我視耶路撒冷居民亦若是。我必罰之、降以重災、既出燄山、復入火坑、使知我乃耶和華。以色列民蹈愆尤、故其地必荒蕪、我耶和華已言之矣。

在其地可食餅、無艱苦、無匱乏、取其石即鐵、鑿其山即銅。
