If he has not exacted usury Nor taken any increase, But has withdrawn his hand from iniquity And executed true judgment between man and man;

未曾向借钱的弟兄取利，也未曾向借粮的弟兄多要，缩手不作罪孽，在两人之间，按至理判断；

未曾向人取利息，也未曾索取高利，反倒缩手不作恶，在人与人之间施行诚实的判断；

不放债取利，不犯罪作恶，反而公平待人，

他借东西给人不取利息，也不多要，他使自己的手远离罪恶，在人与人之间施行诚实的判断；

貸金不取利息、禁手作惡、以誠實鞫兩造、

貸人金、不取利、不迫索、與人交、不作惡、恆為善、

貸人金、不索利、不取息、禁手勿行不義、鞫二人之事、惟循真實、

He does not lend to them at interest or take a profit from them. He withholds his hand from doing wrong and judges fairly between two parties.

He does not charge interest when he lends money to them. He does not make money from them. He keeps himself from doing what is wrong. He judges cases fairly.

He grants loans without interest, stays away from injustice, is honest and fair when judging others,

He doesn’t lend at interest or for profit but keeps his hand from injustice and carries out true justice between men.

and if he does not lend money at interest or take interest, if he keeps his hand from injustice and executes true justice between one person and another,

he that hath not given forth upon interest, neither hath taken any increase, that hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity, hath executed true justice between man and man,

He doesn’t lend at interest or for profit but keeps his hand from wrongdoing and carries out true justice between men.

He[ that] hath not given forth upon usury, neither hath taken any increase,[ that] hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity, hath executed true judgment between man and man,

does not engage in usury or charge interest, but refrains from wrongdoing, promotes true justice between men,

he who hasn’t lent to them with interest, hasn’t taken any increase from them, who has withdrawn his hand from iniquity, has executed true justice between man and man,

“ If you lend money to any of My people who are poor among you, you shall not be like a moneylender to him; you shall not charge him interest.

These are the things you shall do: Speak each man the truth to his neighbor; Give judgment in your gates for truth, justice, and peace;

“ You shall not charge interest to your brother— interest on money or food or anything that is lent out at interest.To a foreigner you may charge interest, but to your brother you shall not charge interest, that the Lord your God may bless you in all to which you set your hand in the land which you are entering to possess.

In you they take bribes to shed blood; you take usury and increase; you have made profit from your neighbors by extortion, and have forgotten Me,” says the Lord GOD.

‘ If one of your brethren becomes poor, and falls into poverty among you, then you shall help him, like a stranger or a sojourner, that he may live with you.Take no usury or interest from him; but fear your God, that your brother may live with you.You shall not lend him your money for usury, nor lend him your food at a profit.

Who has withdrawn his hand from the poor And not received usury or increase, But has executed My judgments And walked in My statutes— He shall not die for the iniquity of his father; He shall surely live!

If he has exacted usury Or taken increase— Shall he then live? He shall not live! If he has done any of these abominations, He shall surely die; His blood shall be upon him.

He who does not put out his money at usury, Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.

“ When I went out to the gate by the city, When I took my seat in the open square,The young men saw me and hid, And the aged arose and stood;The princes refrained from talking, And put their hand on their mouth;The voice of nobles was hushed, And their tongue stuck to the roof of their mouth.When the ear heard, then it blessed me, And when the eye saw, then it approved me;Because I delivered the poor who cried out, The fatherless and the one who had no helper.The blessing of a perishing man came upon me, And I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy.I put on righteousness, and it clothed me; My justice was like a robe and a turban.I was eyes to the blind, And I was feet to the lame.I was a father to the poor, And I searched out the case that I did not know.I broke the fangs of the wicked, And plucked the victim from his teeth.

And there was a great outcry of the people and their wives against their Jewish brethren.For there were those who said,“ We, our sons, and our daughters are many; therefore let us get grain, that we may eat and live.”There were also some who said,“ We have mortgaged our lands and vineyards and houses, that we might buy grain because of the famine.”There were also those who said,“ We have borrowed money for the king’s tax on our lands and vineyards.Yet now our flesh is as the flesh of our brethren, our children as their children; and indeed we are forcing our sons and our daughters to be slaves, and some of our daughters have been brought into slavery. It is not in our power to redeem them, for other men have our lands and vineyards.”And I became very angry when I heard their outcry and these words.After serious thought, I rebuked the nobles and rulers, and said to them,“ Each of you is exacting usury from his brother.” So I called a great assembly against them.And I said to them,“ According to our ability we have redeemed our Jewish brethren who were sold to the nations. Now indeed, will you even sell your brethren? Or should they be sold to us?” Then they were silenced and found nothing to say.Then I said,“ What you are doing is not good. Should you not walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the nations, our enemies?I also, with my brethren and my servants, am lending them money and grain. Please, let us stop this usury!Restore now to them, even this day, their lands, their vineyards, their olive groves, and their houses, also a hundredth of the money and the grain, the new wine and the oil, that you have charged them.”

“ Then I commanded your judges at that time, saying,‘ Hear the cases between your brethren, and judge righteously between a man and his brother or the stranger who is with him.You shall not show partiality in judgment; you shall hear the small as well as the great; you shall not be afraid in any man’s presence, for the judgment is God’s. The case that is too hard for you, bring to me, and I will hear it.’

Open your mouth for the speechless, In the cause of all who are appointed to die.Open your mouth, judge righteously, And plead the cause of the poor and needy.

‘ You shall do no injustice in judgment, in measurement of length, weight, or volume.

But the former governors who were before me laid burdens on the people, and took from them bread and wine, besides forty shekels of silver. Yes, even their servants bore rule over the people, but I did not do so, because of the fear of God.

“ Shall you reign because you enclose yourself in cedar? Did not your father eat and drink, And do justice and righteousness? Then it was well with him.He judged the cause of the poor and needy; Then it was well. Was not this knowing Me?” says the Lord.

Woe is me, my mother, That you have borne me, A man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent for interest, Nor have men lent to me for interest. Every one of them curses me.

“ Thus says the Lord of hosts:‘ Execute true justice, Show mercy and compassion Everyone to his brother.Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, The alien or the poor. Let none of you plan evil in his heart Against his brother.’

He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, He who despises the gain of oppressions, Who gestures with his hands, refusing bribes, Who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed, And shuts his eyes from seeing evil:

Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow.

“ You shall appoint judges and officers in all your gates, which the Lord your God gives you, according to your tribes, and they shall judge the people with just judgment.You shall not pervert justice; you shall not show partiality, nor take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous.You shall follow what is altogether just, that you may live and inherit the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

One who increases his possessions by usury and extortion Gathers it for him who will pity the poor.

‘ You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not be partial to the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty. In righteousness you shall judge your neighbor.

I was also blameless before Him, And I kept myself from my iniquity.
