But if a wicked person turns from the wickedness he has committed and does what is just and right, he will preserve his life.

如惡人轉離所行之惡、循法合理、必保其生、

如惡人悛改素行、孳孳為義、則可得生、

如惡人悛改所行之惡、為義行善、必保其生命、

But if a wicked person turns away from the wickedness they have committed and does what is just and right, they will save their life.

But suppose a sinful person turns away from the evil things they have done. And they do what is fair and right. Then they will save their life.

Again, when a wicked person turns away from the wickedness he has committed and does what is just and right, he shall save his life.

But when a wicked person turns away from his wickedness which he has committed and practices justice and righteousness, he will save his life.

Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.

But if a wicked person turns from the wickedness he has committed and does what is just and right, he will preserve his life.

I testified to both Jews and Greeks about repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus.

Therefore repent and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped out,

He went to the first and said,‘ My son, go work in the vineyard today.’“ He answered,‘ I don’t want to,’ but later he changed his mind and went.Then the man went to the other and said the same thing.‘ I will, sir,’ he answered, but he didn’t go.Which of the two did his father’s will?” They said,“ The first.” Jesus said to them,“ Truly I tell you, tax collectors and prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God before you.For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you didn’t believe him. Tax collectors and prostitutes did believe him; but you, when you saw it, didn’t even change your minds then and believe him.

With many other words he testified and strongly urged them, saying,“ Be saved from this corrupt generation!”

Since he heard the sound of the ram’s horn but ignored the warning, his death is his own fault. If he had taken warning, he would have saved his life.

Pay close attention to your life and your teaching; persevere in these things, for in doing this you will save both yourself and your hearers.
