如義人轉離其義而行惡、效惡人行可惡之事、豈得生存乎、其所行之義、不復見憶、必死於其所蹈之愆、所犯之罪、

义人若转离义行而作罪孽，照着恶人所行一切可憎的事而行，他岂能存活吗？他所行的一切义都不被记念；他必因所犯的罪、所行的恶死亡。

如善人去善就惡、行諸不義、我所痛疾者、豈得保生乎、其所行之善、不復追憶、既犯罪作惡、必使之亡。

如善人離善作惡、循惡人所行諸可憎之事而行、豈得生存乎、其所行之諸善、不復追憶、必因所作之慝、所犯之罪死亡、

“ But if a righteous person turns from their righteousness and commits sin and does the same detestable things the wicked person does, will they live? None of the righteous things that person has done will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness they are guilty of and because of the sins they have committed, they will die.

“ Suppose a godly person stops doing what is right. And they sin. They do the same evil things a sinful person does. They do things I hate. Then they will not live. I will not remember any of the right things they have done. They have not been faithful to me. They have also committed many other sins. So they are guilty. They will die.

But when a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and does injustice and does the same abominations that the wicked person does, shall he live? None of the righteous deeds that he has done shall be remembered; for the treachery of which he is guilty and the sin he has committed, for them he shall die.

However, if righteous people turn from their righteous behavior and start doing sinful things and act like other sinners, should they be allowed to live? No, of course not! All their righteous acts will be forgotten, and they will die for their sins.

But when a righteous person turns from his righteousness and acts unjustly, committing the same detestable acts that the wicked do, will he live? None of the righteous acts he did will be remembered. He will die because of the treachery he has engaged in and the sin he has committed.

“ But when a righteous person turns away from his righteousness, commits injustice and does according to all the abominations that the wicked person does, will he live? All his righteous deeds which he has done will not be remembered for his treachery which he has committed and his sin which he has committed; for them he will die.

“ But when a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, shall he live? All the righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; because of the unfaithfulness of which he is guilty and the sin which he has committed, because of them he shall die.

But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? None of his righteous deeds that he hath done shall be remembered: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

But when a righteous person turns from his righteousness and practices iniquity, committing the same detestable acts that the wicked do, will he live? None of the righteous acts he did will be remembered. He will die because of the treachery he has engaged in and the sin he has committed.

But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity,[ and] doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked[ man] doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

“ But if a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and practices wrongdoing according to all the abominable practices the wicked carry out, will he live? All his righteous acts will not be remembered; because of the unfaithful acts he has done and the sin he has committed, he will die.

“ But when the righteous turns away from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, should he live? None of his righteous deeds that he has done will be remembered. In his trespass that he has trespassed, and in his sin that he has sinned, in them he shall die.

人子歟、謂爾民族曰、義人干罪之日、其義不能救之、惡人去惡之日、其惡不能隕之、義人干罪之日、不能藉其義而得生、我謂義人必生、如彼自恃其義而行惡、則其義行、俱不見憶、必死於其所犯之罪、

我立掃羅為王、今則悔之、以其背我、而不我從、亦不遵行我命、撒母耳怒、終夜籲耶和華、

我恐至時、見爾不副我所望、而爾見我亦不副爾所望、或有爭鬥、媢嫉、忿怒、朋黨、毀謗、隱刺、妄誇、混亂、又恐我再至時、上帝卑我於爾前、我將為彼干罪諸人、未改悔其污穢淫亂、邪侈之行者而憂也、

昔爾所趨者善矣、誰阻爾不順真理乎、

設其人生子為盜、而流人血、行上所言之惡、不行上所言之善、食於山、污其鄰之妻、欺凌貧乏、奪人之物、不反人之質、瞻仰偶像、行可惡之事、貸金而取利息、斯人豈得生存乎、必不得生存也、既行此可惡之事、必至死亡、流血之罪、歸於其身、

故曰、爾必死於爾罪、若不信我之為彼、則死於爾罪必矣、

人見兄弟干罪不至於死、則祈求之、上帝必予之以生、即予干罪不至於死者、有至於死之罪者、我言祈求、非指此也、凡不義皆罪也、亦有罪不至於死者、○我知凡由上帝而生者不干罪、

爾因我名為眾所憾、惟終忍者得救也、○

蓋其言矜誇虛誕、由形軀之慾、以淫邪誘惑甫脫妄行者、許之以自由、而己則為邪慝之奴、蓋為其所勝者、即為其奴也、人既因識主救者耶穌基督、得脫世污、若復為其所累所勝、則後患尤劇於前、蓋未識義路、較識之而背所受之聖誡猶愈也、斯人也、如諺所云、犬既吐而轉食之、豕既浴而復淖之、

其所犯之罪、不復見憶、必因所行之義、而得生存、

彼偏行曲徑者、耶和華必曳之、使與惡黨同出、願平康歸於以色列兮、

彼與爾同餐、則於爾之愛筵、有如暗礁、為無懼之牧者、惟己是飼、為無雨之雲、因風飄蕩、為無果之秋樹、再死根拔、

彼知識中既不願有上帝、上帝遂任其喪心、行非宜之行、充諸不義、惡慝、貪婪、暴很、媢嫉、兇殺、爭鬥、詭譎、陰險、隱刺、毀謗、憎上帝、狎侮、傲慢、矜誇、造惡、違逆父母、愚昧、背約、不情、不慈、

彼日多人將語我云、主也主也、我非以爾名宣道、以爾名逐鬼、以爾名廣行異能乎、我將示之曰、我未嘗識爾、作不法者其去我、

與背耶和華、而不從之者、及不尋求耶和華、而不訪之者、○

我速至矣、爾所有者、宜持守之、免有奪爾冕者、

播於磽地者、乃人聽道、即喜受之、惟內無根、則亦暫耳、及為道而遇患難窘逐、即厭棄之、

我儕既識真理、而故干罪、則無復有贖罪之祭、惟戰慄待鞫、及滅諸敵之烈火耳、拒摩西之律者、有二三人為證、其死無恤、況踐踏上帝子、以所由成聖之約血為俗、且狎侮施恩之神、爾意若人受刑、其重為何如乎、蓋曰、伸冤在我、我必報之、又曰、主必鞫其民、此誰所言、我儕固知之矣、陷於維生上帝手、可懼哉、○

邪鬼離人、遊行旱地、求安不得、曰、我將歸所出之室、至、則見其闃寂、掃除、修飾矣、遂往、又攜七鬼惡於己者、入而居之、其人後患、較前尤劇、此惡世亦必如是、○

夫人既蒙光照、得承天賚、共與聖神、且承上帝嘉言、及來世之權能、後若離棄、則不能使之更新而改悔、因其復釘上帝子於十架而顯辱之、

由是其徒多退、不復從之、耶穌謂十二徒曰、爾亦欲去乎、西門彼得對曰、主有永生之道、吾誰與歸、我儕已信、且知爾為上帝之聖者、耶穌曰、我非選爾十有二人乎、而爾中之一乃魔也、

人子歟、當謂以色列家曰、主耶和華云、爾之列祖褻瀆我、以其干罪於我、

惟我義者、必由信而生、若其退縮、我心不悅之、然我儕非屬退縮而致淪亡者、乃屬信而致靈之得救者也、

勿懼爾將受之苦、魔將投爾中數人於獄以試之、爾將受難十日、宜忠信至死、我則賜爾以維生之冕、

彼自我而出、但非屬我者、若其屬我、則恆偕我矣、然其出也、乃顯其皆非屬我也、

厥口所言、奸惡詭譎、絕於智慧善行兮、在牀謀孽、立於邪途、不憎惡事兮、○

如義人背義行惡、我置窒礙於其前、彼必死亡、爾不警之、彼死於罪、所行之義、不復見憶、我必索其血於爾手、如爾警義人、使不犯罪、而彼誠不犯罪、彼則生存、爾亦得救己命、○

季世有危時將至、爾宜知之、蓋人將自私、好利、矜誇、驕傲、謗讟、逆親、辜恩、邪慝、不情、搆怨、讒毀、縱欲、殘刻、疾善、奸詐、躁妄、自衒、好佚樂、不好上帝、有敬虔之貌、而無其實、若此者宜遠之、

爾徒受若許之苦乎、果徒然乎、

惟其父行殘暴、奪同宗、作不善於民間、必死於其罪、

耶穌又曰、我往矣、爾將尋我、而必死於爾罪、我往之所、爾不能至、

惡人遇難而見仆、義者臨死而有託、
