而那些善事他卻不行，因為他也在山上喫了祭偶像之物，他鄰舍的妻他也玷污了；

常在庙宇吃祭偶像之物，玷污别人的妻子，

（虽然他父亲并没有作这样的事）：他在山上吃祭肉，又玷污邻舍的妻子；

不行上所言之善、食於山、污其鄰之妻、

( though the father has done none of them):“ He eats at the mountain shrines. He defiles his neighbor’s wife.

Suppose he does these things even though his father never did.“ Suppose the son eats at the mountain temples. And he sleeps with another man’s wife.

( though he himself did none of these things), who even eats upon the mountains, defiles his neighbor’s wife,

And that son does all the evil things his father would never do— he worships idols on the mountains, commits adultery,

though the father has done none of them. Indeed, when the son eats at the mountain shrines and defiles his neighbor’s wife,

( though he himself did not do any of these things), that is, he even eats at the mountain shrines, and defiles his neighbor’s wife,

And does none of those duties, But has eaten on the mountains Or defiled his neighbor’s wife;

and that doeth not any of those duties, but even hath eaten upon the mountains, and defiled his neighbor’s wife,

though the father has done none of them. Indeed, when the son eats at the mountain shrines and defiles his neighbor’s wife,

And that doeth not any of those[ duties], but even hath eaten upon the mountains, and defiled his neighbour’s wife,

( though the father did not do any of them). He eats pagan sacrifices on the mountains, defiles his neighbor’s wife,

or who does not do any of those things, but even has eaten at the mountain shrines, and defiled his neighbor’s wife,

反倒回來，在永恆主告訴你不可喫飯喝水的地方來喫飯喝水；因此你的屍體不得入你列祖的墳墓。」』

『凡稱呼我「主啊，主啊」的人，不能都進天國，惟獨實行我天上之父的旨意的，才能進入。當那日，必有許多人要對我說：「主啊，主啊，我們不是奉你的名傳講過神言，奉你的名趕過鬼，奉你的名行過許多異能麼？」那時我必公然對他們說：「我從來不認識你們；你們這些行不法事的人哪，離開我去吧！」『所以凡聽我這些話而實行的，好比一個精明的人，把他的房子建造在磐石上。霖雨降，河流來，大風吹，撞着那房子，房子不倒壞；因為它立了根基在磐石上。凡聽我這些話而不實行的，好比一個愚拙的人，把他的房子建造在沙土上。霖雨降，河流來，大風吹，碰着那房子，房子就倒壞；其倒壞是很大的！』

你們在我身上所學習所領受、所聽見所看到的、你們都要習行；賜平安的上帝就必與你們同在。

神人對王說：『你就使把你家產的一半給了我，我也不同你進去，也不在這地方喫飯喝水；

那些洗自己袍子、好得權柄享受生命樹、好得由門進城的人、有福啊！

這樣，凡我們所求的，我們都從他得着，因為我們守他的誡命，行他眼中所喜歡的事。

他不在山上喫祭偶像之物，不舉目瞻仰以色列家的偶像，不玷污鄰舍的妻，

你們、就是我的朋友，如果你們實行我所命令你們的。

不在山上喫祭偶像之物，不舉目瞻仰以色列家的偶像，不玷污鄰舍的妻，不親近經期污穢中的婦人，不虧負人，總把債務的當頭交還；他不搶奪人的物件，卻將自己的食物給了饑餓的人，將衣服給赤身裸體的人遮身；

你們既知道這些事，若去實行，就有福了。

他說：『是的，還不如聽上帝的話而遵守的人為有福呢！』

信心也是這樣；若沒有行為，信心自身便是死的。
