All the trees of the forest will know that I the Lord bring down the tall tree and make the low tree grow tall. I dry up the green tree and make the dry tree flourish.“‘ I the Lord have spoken, and I will do it.’”

The Lord brings poverty and gives wealth; He humbles and He exalts.He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the garbage pile. He seats them with noblemen and gives them a throne of honor. For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s; He has set the world on them.

He has toppled the mighty from their thrones and exalted the lowly.He has satisfied the hungry with good things and sent the rich away empty.

Exaltation does not come from the east, the west, or the desert,for God is the Judge: He brings down one and exalts another.

Look on every proud person and humble him; trample the wicked where they stand.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.

For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on His shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.The dominion will be vast, and its prosperity will never end. He will reign on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish and sustain it with justice and righteousness from now on and forever. The zeal of the Lord of Hosts will accomplish this.

For He has humbled those who live in lofty places— an inaccessible city. He brings it down; He brings it down to the ground; He throws it to the dust.

He will strike the land with discipline from His mouth, and He will kill the wicked with a command from His lips.Righteousness will be a belt around His loins; faithfulness will be a belt around His waist.The wolf will live with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the goat. The calf, the young lion, and the fatling will be together, and a child will lead them.The cow and the bear will graze, their young ones will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox.An infant will play beside the cobra’s pit, and a toddler will put his hand into a snake’s den.None will harm or destroy another on My entire holy mountain, for the land will be as full of the knowledge of the Lord as the sea is filled with water.

This is what the Lord God says: Remove the turban, and take off the crown. Things will not remain as they are; exalt the lowly and bring down the exalted.

You will indeed go out with joy and be peacefully guided; the mountains and the hills will break into singing before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.Instead of the thornbush, a cypress will come up, and instead of the brier, a myrtle will come up; it will make a name for Yahweh as an everlasting sign that will not be destroyed.

against all the cedars of Lebanon, lofty and lifted up, against all the oaks of Bashan,against all the high mountains, against all the lofty hills,
