I will spread my net for him, and he will be caught in my snare. I will bring him to Babylon and execute judgment on him there because he was unfaithful to me.

領你們進入外族人的曠野，面對面地審判你們，就像我從前在埃及的曠野審判你們的祖先一樣。這是主耶和華說的。

主耶和華說，我要差遣多國組成的大軍，用我的網把你拉上來，

你們還說，『我們是無辜的，耶和華不再向我們發怒。』看啊，我必審判你們，因為你們拒不認罪。

我要用瘟疫、殺戮、暴雨、冰雹、烈火和硫磺懲罰他們和他們的聯軍。

但迦勒底的軍隊追上來，在耶利哥的平原擒住西底迦，把他帶到哈馬的利比拉去見巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒，接受審判。巴比倫王在利比拉當著西底迦的面殺了他的眾子和猶大所有的貴族，並且挖去他的雙眼，把他用銅鏈鎖著帶到巴比倫。

「看啊，我必在瞬間把巴比倫人趕離家園，如約旦河邊叢林中跳出的獅子趕散草場的羊群。我要派我揀選的人統治這地方。誰能與我相比？誰能與我較量？哪位首領能抵抗我？」

那五王逃進瑪基大的山洞裡，躲藏起來。有人告訴約書亞那五個王藏在瑪基大的山洞裡，約書亞便下令說：「滾幾塊大石頭堵住洞口，派人看守。

所以，耶和華就差遣亞述王的將領來攻擊他們，他們捉住瑪拿西，用鉤子鉤著他，用銅鏈鎖著他押往巴比倫。

押沙龍碰巧遇見大衛的部下。他騎著騾子逃走，騾子從一棵大橡樹的茂密枝條下經過，押沙龍的頭髮被樹枝纏住，整個人吊在半空中，胯下的騾子也跑了。

「你們去跟你們的母親理論吧！因為她不再是我的妻子，我也不再是她的丈夫。叫她別再出賣色相，別再露出乳間的淫態。

我若昂首挺立，你會像獅子般追捕我，再次施展大能攻擊我。

他們去的時候，我要張網網住他們，我要像打落飛鳥一樣打落他們。我要按他們的惡行懲罰他們。

因此，我要指控你們和你們的後代。這是耶和華說的。

群山啊，大地永固的根基啊，你們要聽耶和華的控告！因為耶和華要控告祂的子民，責備以色列人。

因為那日子將要這樣臨到世上每一個人。

耶和華膏立的王——我們的生命之氣落入他們的陷阱。我們原希望藉他的蔭庇立足於列國中。

「祂從高天降下火來，焚燒我的骨頭；祂在我腳前設下網羅，使我返回；祂使我淒涼孤寂，終日痛苦。

再者，人無法知道何時大難臨頭。禍患突然臨到時，人根本無法擺脫，就像魚落入險惡的網中，又像鳥兒陷入網羅。
