干耶和華震怒、耶路撒冷猶大之民、咸被驅逐。

尼布甲尼撒王使之指上帝而誓、永不離叛、王猶強項不馴、剛愎乃心、不歸以色列族之上帝耶和華、更背尼布甲尼撒王。

人將曳爾妻子、見迦勒底人、爾亦不能脫其手、必為巴比倫王所獲、斯邑必焚以火、皆爾自取。

爾當傳我耶和華之命、曰、斯葡萄豈得枝繁葉盛、鷹將拔其根、所發之枝必槁、毋庸巨邦眾民、刪其根株、

迦勒底人圍耶路撒冷、聞法老軍旅、自埃及而至、遂撤圍。耶和華諭耶利米曰、以色列族之上帝耶和華云、猶大王既遣爾、諮諏於我、爾當告之曰、法老之軍旅、雖來輔翼、終歸埃及、

主耶和華曰、惟爾以色列族之君、爽約作惡、必罰其罪、時日已至、當去冠脫冕、不以斯人為王、使高者降為卑、卑者升為高、

斯道、主始言之、聞者徵明於我儕、

今日爾上帝耶和華發誓、爾可同盟、與之立約。彼今日以爾為己民、以己為爾上帝、踐其前言、昔與爾祖亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各發誓、今亦踐之。我立此盟約、不第與爾曹、凡今日於上帝耶和華前、與我同在、及不同在者、立約。

耶和華曰、悖逆者流、惟設計謀、不仰望予、灌奠以要約、感予神者、弗順從之、其罪益深、禍將及矣、彼不諮諏我意、乃往埃及、藉法老之勢力、望埃及之庇蔭、爾惟法老之勢力是恃、埃及之庇蔭是賴、則必含羞蒙恥、牧伯至鎖安國、使詣哈匿、

暴虐妄作、中年短折、陷於坎阱、上帝使然、予惟上帝是賴兮。

人往埃及、求其助己、見車馬眾多、驍騎勇猛、則以之是恃、不恃以色列族之聖主耶和華而求其眷祐、其禍必不遠矣、上帝至明、言出惟行、勃然以興、降災於惡人、凡助惡者、亦降罰焉、埃及之眾、人也、非上帝也、所乘之馬、凡馬也、非神馬也、耶和華舉手降罰、輔翼惡人者、皆顛其趾、為惡人所扶持者、咸遭傾覆、淪胥以亡、

耶和華三呼斯土之人、告之曰、爾眾宜聽我言、約雅斤畢生、不獲亨通、當錄其名於册、雖有子孫、不得繼大闢之位、為王於猶大。

噫、蛇蝮之類、安能逭地獄刑乎、

妄證者刑譴必及、言誑者不能逭罰。

爾於埃及王、倚之若杖、不知彼猶已折之萑葦、按手其上、必為所刺、凡倚埃及王法老者亦若是、抑爾言恃爾上帝耶和華、何希西家廢其崇邱、去其祭壇、命猶大及耶路撒冷之民、惟在一臺崇拜乎、今當以人質於我主亞述王、則我予爾馬二千匹、爾能使人乘之否、不能、曷能禦我主之僕、武士長至微之一乎、然則爾恃埃及、欲得車馬、亦奚以為、
