Then you offered yourself to the people of Babylon. But that did not satisfy you either. There are many traders in the land of Babylon.

You added to your lovers by embracing Babylonia, the land of merchants, but you still weren’t satisfied.

Thou hast moreover multiplied thy whoredom unto the land of traffic, unto Chaldea; and yet thou wast not satisfied herewith.

and they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt; and they followed other gods from among the gods of the people who were all around them, and they bowed down to them; and they provoked the Lord to anger.They forsook the Lord and served Baal and the Ashtoreths.And the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel. They did not cease from their own doings nor from their stubborn way.

But they paid no attention, and Manasseh seduced them to do more evil than the nations whom the Lord had destroyed before the children of Israel.

But she increased her harlotry; She looked at men portrayed on the wall, Images of Chaldeans portrayed in vermilion,Girded with belts around their waists, Flowing turbans on their heads, All of them looking like captains, In the manner of the Babylonians of Chaldea, The land of their nativity.As soon as her eyes saw them, She lusted for them And sent messengers to them in Chaldea.“ Then the Babylonians came to her, into the bed of love, And they defiled her with their immorality; So she was defiled by them, and alienated herself from them.She revealed her harlotry and uncovered her nakedness.
