Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured.[ Is this] of thy whoredoms a small matter,

你还把你给我生的儿女烧作燔祭献给偶像。难道你淫乱还不够吗？

你更把你的儿女，就是你给我所生的儿女，献给它们作食物；你所行的淫乱还算是小事吗？

並且你將給我所生的兒女焚獻給他。

你拿你為我所生的兒女獻給它們吞噬。你的淫亂豈是小事？

你拿你為我所生的兒女獻給它們吞噬。你的淫亂豈是小事？

你還把你給我生的兒女燒作燔祭獻給偶像。難道你淫亂還不夠嗎？

你更把你的兒女，就是你給我所生的兒女，獻給它們作食物；你所行的淫亂還算是小事嗎？

你並且把你的兒女，你所給我生的，祭獻給它們、去被燒滅。你的淫亂哪裏是小事呢？

又取為我而生之子女、獻之於彼、俾其吞噬、

我賜爾生子女、爾以子女獻而焚之、爾狥欲若此、豈為細故。

又以爾為我所生之子女、殺之獻於偶像為祭、祭原文作食爾行淫、已非小事、

“‘ And you took your sons and daughters whom you bore to me and sacrificed them as food to the idols. Was your prostitution not enough?

“‘ “Then you took your sons and daughters who belonged to me. And you sacrificed them as food to other gods. Wasn’t it enough for you to be a prostitute?

And you took your sons and your daughters, whom you had borne to me, and these you sacrificed to them to be devoured. Were your whorings so small a matter

“ Then you took your sons and daughters— the children you had borne to me— and sacrificed them to your gods. Was your prostitution not enough?

“‘ You even took your sons and daughters you bore to me and sacrificed them to these images as food. Wasn’t your prostitution enough?

“ Furthermore, you took your sons and daughters whom you had borne to Me and sacrificed them to idols to be devoured. Were your obscene practices a trivial matter?

“ Moreover you took your sons and your daughters, whom you bore to Me, and these you sacrificed to them to be devoured. Were your acts of harlotry a small matter,

“ You even took your sons and daughters you bore to Me and sacrificed them to these images as food. Wasn’t your prostitution enough?

“‘ You took your sons and your daughters whom you bore to me and you sacrificed them as food for the idols to eat. As if your prostitution not enough,

“‘“ Moreover you have taken your sons and your daughters, whom you have borne to me, and you have sacrificed these to them to be devoured. Was your prostitution a small matter,

That they have committed adultery, and blood[ is] in their hands, and with their idols have they committed adultery, and have also caused their sons, whom they bare unto me, to pass for them through[ the fire], to devour[ them].

And they have built the high places of Tophet, which[ is] in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded[ them] not, neither came it into my heart.

Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel,[ both] of man and of beast: it[ is] mine.

For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all your idols, even unto this day: and shall I be enquired of by you, O house of Israel?[ As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be enquired of by you.

Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,And shed innocent blood,[ even] the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.

Your little ones, your wives, and thy stranger that[ is] in thy camp, from the hewer of thy wood unto the drawer of thy water:That thou shouldest enter into covenant with the LORD thy God, and into his oath, which the LORD thy God maketh with thee this day:

And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through[ the fire] all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I[ am] the LORD.

That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through[ the fire] for them?

That thou shalt set apart unto the LORD all that openeth the matrix, and every firstling that cometh of a beast which thou hast; the males[ shall be] the LORD’S.

Enflaming yourselves with idols under every green tree, slaying the children in the valleys under the clifts of the rocks?

And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

And they built the high places of Baal, which[ are] in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through[ the fire] unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

For when they had slain their children to their idols, then they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it; and, lo, thus have they done in the midst of mine house.

Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen[ this], O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.

But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, yea, and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel.

And the names of them[ were] Aholah the elder, and Aholibah her sister: and they were mine, and they bare sons and daughters. Thus[ were] their names; Samaria[ is] Aholah, and Jerusalem Aholibah.

Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams,[ or] with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn[ for] my transgression, the fruit of my body[ for] the sin of my soul?

And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

Also in thy skirts is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocents: I have not found it by secret search, but upon all these.Yet thou sayest, Because I am innocent, surely his anger shall turn from me. Behold, I will plead with thee, because thou sayest, I have not sinned.
