You also took the fine jewelry I gave you, the jewelry made of my gold and silver, and you made for yourself male idols and engaged in prostitution with them.

I had given you fine jewelry. It was made out of gold and silver. You used it to make for yourself statues of male gods. You worshiped those gods. You were not faithful to me.

他們向木頭說：『你是我的父』；向石頭說：『你是生我的。』他們以背向我，不肯以面向我；及至遭遇患難時卻說：『起來拯救我們吧！』你為自己做的神明在哪裏呢？你遭遇患難的時候，讓它們起來拯救你吧！猶大啊，你神明的數目與你城的數目相等。

百姓見摩西遲遲不下山，就聚集到亞倫那裏，對他說：「起來！為我們造神明，在我們前面引路，因為領我們出埃及地的那個摩西，我們不知道他遭遇了甚麼事。」亞倫對他們說：「你們去摘下你們妻子、兒女耳上的金環，拿來給我。」眾百姓就摘下他們耳上的金環，拿來給亞倫。亞倫從他們手裏接過來，用模子塑造它，把它鑄成一頭牛犢。他們就說：「以色列啊，這是領你出埃及地的神明！」

他們要把銀子拋棄在街上，看金子如污穢之物。正當耶和華發怒的日子，金銀不能拯救他們，不能滿足食慾，也不能使肚腹飽滿，反倒成了自己罪孽的絆腳石。他們用所誇耀華美的妝飾製造可憎可厭的偶像，所以我使他們看它如污穢之物。

我用首飾打扮你：我把手鐲戴在你手上，項鏈在你頸上，

阿荷利巴又加增淫行，她看見牆上刻有人像，就是鮮紅色的迦勒底人雕刻的像。它們腰間繫着帶子，頭上有飄揚的裹頭巾，都是將軍的樣子，巴比倫人的形像；迦勒底是他們的出生地。阿荷利巴一看見就戀慕他們，派遣使者往迦勒底他們那裏去。巴比倫人來到她那裏，上了她愛情的床，與她行淫污辱她。她被污辱，隨後她的心卻與他們生疏。這樣，她既暴露淫行，暴露下體；我的心就與她生疏，像先前與她的姊姊生疏一樣。她仍繼續增添淫行，追念她年輕時在埃及地行淫的日子，戀慕情人的身壯精足，如驢似馬。這樣，你就渴望年輕時的淫蕩；那時，埃及人因你年輕時的胸懷，撫弄你的乳房。」

以色列是茂盛的葡萄樹，結果繁多。果子越多，就越增添祭壇；土地越肥美，就越建造美麗的柱像。

因以色列輕忽了她的淫亂，與石頭和木頭行姦淫，她和這地就都污穢了。

我要懲罰她素日給諸巴力燒香的罪；那時她佩戴耳環和珠寶，跟隨她所愛的，卻忘記我。這是耶和華說的。

沒有一個心裏醒悟，有知識，有聰明，能說：「我曾拿一部分用火燃燒，在炭火上烤餅，也烤肉來吃。這剩下的，我豈要做可憎之像嗎？我豈可向木頭叩拜呢？」他以灰塵為食，心裏迷糊，以致偏邪，不能自救，也不能說：「我右手中豈不是有虛謊嗎？」

你在高而又高的山上安設床舖，上那裏去獻祭。你在門後，在門框後，立起你的牌來；你離棄了我，赤露己身，又爬上自己所鋪寬闊的床鋪，與它們立約；你喜愛它們的床，看着它們的赤體。
