主天主曰、我加爾華飾、全爾豔色、其聲名傳於列邦、

主耶和華又曰、爾有殊色、榮煌赫奕、名震列邦、我使之然。

And your fame spread among the nations on account of your beauty, because the splendor I had given you made your beauty perfect, declares the Sovereign Lord.

You were so beautiful that your fame spread among the nations. The glory I had given you made your beauty perfect,” announces the Lord and King.

And your renown went forth among the nations because of your beauty, for it was perfect through the splendor that I had bestowed on you, declares the Lord God.

凡過路者、皆因爾鼓掌、向耶路撒冷邑邑原文作女嗤笑搖頭、曰、素為極美、天下所悅之邑、即此邑乎、

天主以智慧賦於所羅門心、天下列王、俱求見所羅門面、以聽其智慧之言、

爾異乎人、誰使爾異、爾何所有而非受之乎、既受之何誇似未受乎、

至吉甲營中見約書亞、謂約書亞與以色列人曰、我儕自遠方來、求與我立約、以色列人謂此希未人曰、恐爾居於我中、焉能與爾立約乎、彼謂約書亞曰、我儕願為爾僕、約書亞曰、爾曹為誰、從何而來、對曰、僕等緣爾天主耶和華之名、自極遠之地而來、蓋聞其聲名、與其在伊及所行者、

謂之曰、主已將此地賜爾、為我所知、我儕悉懼爾、斯地一切居民、皆緣爾喪膽、爾出伊及時、主為爾使紅海水涸、爾如何待約但東之亞摩利二王西宏及噩、即爾所殲滅者、此皆為我所聞、我聞之心怯、各緣爾之故、魂不附體、魂不附體或作志氣盡墜蓋主爾之天主乃上天下地之天主、

天主由火中宣言、爾聽其聲、尚能生存、試問爾以前已往之世代、自天主造人在世以來、自天此極至天彼極、曾有何人聞天主言之聲而猶能生乎、若是之大事、豈曾有乎、豈曾聞乎、

當謹守遵行、此即爾之智慧明哲在列邦眾民前、彼聞此律例、必曰、斯民昌大、智慧明哲俱備、何民若是昌大、或作有何昌大之民有神有神或作天主與之相近、猶主我天主之與我相近乎、我凡祈禱主我天主之時、與我相近而允我所祈、何民若是昌大、或作有何昌大之民有律例法度若是之善義、如我今日所設於爾前之律法乎、

推羅王戶蘭致書所羅門曰、主惠愛己民、故立爾為其王、戶蘭又曰、當頌美天地之主以色列天主、因賜大衛王賢子、賦以智慧聰明、能建主之殿及王宮、

天主以智慧賦於所羅門心、天下列王、俱求見所羅門面、以聽其智慧言、

示巴女王聞所羅門之聲名、即所羅門因奉主名而得之聲名、乃至、欲以隱語試之、隨女王至耶路撒冷者甚眾、有駝負香品黃金寶石甚多、既至、見所羅門以心中所思維者悉告之、所羅門答其一切隱語、無一隱語、王不能答、示巴女王見所羅門智慧具備、又觀其所建之宮殿、其席之殽饌、群臣之居室、僕役如何侍立、如何服飾、又觀其酒政、及主殿中所獻之火焚祭、則神為之奪、謂王曰、我在我國、聞爾之事與爾之智慧、其言真實不虛、我初不信其言、及我來目睹之、乃知人所告我者、猶未及其半、爾之智慧與爾之福祉、過於我所聞之風聲、爾群臣有福、爾僕役恆侍爾前、聞爾智慧之言、誠為有福、當頌美主爾之天主、因喜悅爾、使爾登以色列之國位、主恆愛以色列、故立爾為王、秉公行義、以聽其訟、於是女王以黃金一百二十他連得、與香品甚多、以及寶石、饋王、女王饋所羅門王之香品、較前此入國者、未有若是之多、或作後此入國者不復有若是之多希蘭之舟、自阿斐載金者、亦自阿斐載檀木甚多、以及寶石、王以檀木為主殿及王宮作欄、又為謳歌者作琴與瑟、若是之檀木、從未入國、至於今亦未見之所、所羅門王循王例、以物饋示巴女王、此外隨其所欲所求、悉以饋贈、厥後女王與其臣僕返故國、○
