For any one of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who sojourn in Israel, who separates himself from me, taking his idols into his heart and putting the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and yet comes to a prophet to consult me through him, I the Lord will answer him myself.

因为以色列人或是在以色列定居的外族人若背弃我，在心中树立偶像，把导致犯罪的绊脚石放在自己面前，又来向先知求问我的旨意，我耶和华必亲自用惩罚回答他。

因为以色列家的人中，或是在以色列寄居的外族人中，凡与我疏远，把他们的偶像接到心里去，把那陷自己在罪孽中的绊脚石放在自己面前，却又来见先知，要为自己求问我的，我耶和华必亲自报应他；

因為以色列家的人，或在以色列中寄居的外人，凡與我隔絕，將他的假神接到心裏，把陷於罪的絆腳石放在面前，又就了先知來要為自己的事求問我的，我－耶和華必親自回答他。

因為以色列家的人或是在以色列中寄居的外國僑民，凡跟我疏遠、將他的偶像接上心頭，把陷於他罪孽中的因由放在自己面前，又前來見神言人、要為自己的事向我求問的，我必親自應付他；

以色列家人、及旅以色列中之外人、凡離我而納其偶像於心、置陷罪之窒礙於前、而詣先知、諮諏於我者、我耶和華必自應之、

凡以色列族、及旅其中之異邦人、背我而奉偶像、中則崇敬之、外則瞻禮之、自陷於惡、後就先知諮諏於我、我耶和華必罰之、降災於其身、絕之於民中、為人作歌譏刺、使知我乃耶和華。

凡以色列族之人、及居以色列中之他邦客旅、若離棄我、心念其偶像、以陷己於罪之物、置於目前、後又就先知、欲藉之求問我、我耶和華必親斥之、必親斥之或作豈應之乎

“‘ When any of the Israelites or any foreigner residing in Israel separate themselves from me and set up idols in their hearts and put a wicked stumbling block before their faces and then go to a prophet to inquire of me, I the Lord will answer them myself.

“‘ “Suppose any of the Israelites or any outsiders who live in Israel separate themselves from me. And they think about other gods. They fall into the evil trap of worshiping them. Then they go to a prophet to ask me for advice. If they do, I myself will tell the prophet to answer them.

I, the Lord, will answer all those, both Israelites and foreigners, who reject me and set up idols in their hearts and so fall into sin, and who then come to a prophet asking for my advice.

For when anyone from the house of Israel or from the aliens who reside in Israel separates himself from me, setting up idols in his heart and putting his sinful stumbling block in front of himself, and then comes to the prophet to inquire of me, I, the LORD, will answer him myself.

For anyone of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who reside in Israel, who deserts Me, sets up his idols in his heart, puts in front of his face the stumbling block of his wrongdoing, and then comes to the prophet to request something of Me for himself, I the Lord will let Myself answer him Myself.

For anyone of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who dwell in Israel, who separates himself from Me and sets up his idols in his heart and puts before him what causes him to stumble into iniquity, then comes to a prophet to inquire of him concerning Me, I the Lord will answer him by Myself.

For every one of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that separateth himself from me, and taketh his idols into his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet to inquire for himself of me; I Jehovah will answer him by myself:

For when anyone from the house of Israel or from the foreigners who reside in Israel separates himself from Me, setting up idols in his heart and putting a sinful stumbling block before his face, and then comes to the prophet to inquire of Me, I, Yahweh, will answer him Myself.

For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to enquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself:

For when anyone from the house of Israel, or the foreigner who lives in Israel, separates himself from me and erects his idols in his heart and sets the obstacle leading to his iniquity before his face, and then consults a prophet to seek something from me, I the LORD am determined to answer him personally.

“‘“ For everyone of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live in Israel, who separates himself from me, and takes his idols into his heart, and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and comes to the prophet to inquire for himself of me; I Yahweh will answer him by myself.

If a stranger shall sojourn with you and would keep the Passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised. Then he may come near and keep it; he shall be as a native of the land. But no uncircumcised person shall eat of it.

but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates.

“ Cry aloud; do not hold back; lift up your voice like a trumpet; declare to my people their transgression, to the house of Jacob their sins.Yet they seek me daily and delight to know my ways, as if they were a nation that did righteousness and did not forsake the judgment of their God; they ask of me righteous judgments; they delight to draw near to God.

Thus says the Lord, Do not deceive yourselves, saying,“ The Chaldeans will surely go away from us,” for they will not go away.For even if you should defeat the whole army of Chaldeans who are fighting against you, and there remained of them only wounded men, every man in his tent, they would rise up and burn this city with fire.’”

“ Son of man, these men have taken their idols into their hearts, and set the stumbling block of their iniquity before their faces. Should I indeed let myself be consulted by them?Therefore speak to them and say to them, Thus says the Lord God: Any one of the house of Israel who takes his idols into his heart and sets the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and yet comes to the prophet, I the Lord will answer him as he comes with the multitude of his idols,

King Zedekiah sent for him and received him. The king questioned him secretly in his house and said,“ Is there any word from the Lord?” Jeremiah said,“ There is.” Then he said,“ You shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon.”

Like grapes in the wilderness, I found Israel. Like the first fruit on the fig tree in its first season, I saw your fathers. But they came to Baal-peor and consecrated themselves to the thing of shame, and became detestable like the thing they loved.

“ As for you, son of man, your people who talk together about you by the walls and at the doors of the houses, say to one another, each to his brother,‘ Come, and hear what the word is that comes from the Lord.’And they come to you as people come, and they sit before you as my people, and they hear what you say but they will not do it; for with lustful talk in their mouths they act; their heart is set on their gain.And behold, you are to them like one who sings lustful songs with a beautiful voice and plays well on an instrument, for they hear what you say, but they will not do it.

You shall have the same rule for the sojourner and for the native, for I am the Lord your God.”

the king said to Hazael,“ Take a present with you and go to meet the man of God, and inquire of the Lord through him, saying,‘ Shall I recover from this sickness?’”So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, all kinds of goods of Damascus, forty camels’ loads. When he came and stood before him, he said,“ Your son Ben-hadad king of Syria has sent me to you, saying,‘ Shall I recover from this sickness?’”And Elisha said to him,“ Go, say to him,‘ You shall certainly recover,’ but the Lord has shown me that he shall certainly die.”And he fixed his gaze and stared at him, until he was embarrassed. And the man of God wept.And Hazael said,“ Why does my lord weep?” He answered,“ Because I know the evil that you will do to the people of Israel. You will set on fire their fortresses, and you will kill their young men with the sword and dash in pieces their little ones and rip open their pregnant women.”And Hazael said,“ What is your servant, who is but a dog, that he should do this great thing?” Elisha answered,“ The Lord has shown me that you are to be king over Syria.”Then he departed from Elisha and came to his master, who said to him,“ What did Elisha say to you?” And he answered,“ He told me that you would certainly recover.”But the next day he took the bed cloth and dipped it in water and spread it over his face, till he died. And Hazael became king in his place.

It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit.

For the assembly, there shall be one statute for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you, a statute forever throughout your generations. You and the sojourner shall be alike before the Lord.

This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, when King Zedekiah sent to him Pashhur the son of Malchiah and Zephaniah the priest, the son of Maaseiah, saying,“ Inquire of the Lord for us, for Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon is making war against us. Perhaps the Lord will deal with us according to all his wonderful deeds and will make him withdraw from us.”

For any one of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who sojourn in Israel, who separates himself from me, taking his idols into his heart and putting the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and yet comes to a prophet to consult me through him, I the Lord will answer him myself.And I will set my face against that man; I will make him a sign and a byword and cut him off from the midst of my people, and you shall know that I am the Lord.

You shall have one law for him who does anything unintentionally, for him who is native among the people of Israel and for the stranger who sojourns among them.

“ And it shall be a statute to you forever that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict yourselves and shall do no work, either the native or the stranger who sojourns among you.

I will not punish your daughters when they play the whore, nor your brides when they commit adultery; for the men themselves go aside with prostitutes and sacrifice with cult prostitutes, and a people without understanding shall come to ruin.

Zedekiah the son of Josiah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon made king in the land of Judah, reigned instead of Coniah the son of Jehoiakim.But neither he nor his servants nor the people of the land listened to the words of the Lord that he spoke through Jeremiah the prophet.King Zedekiah sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah, and Zephaniah the priest, the son of Maaseiah, to Jeremiah the prophet, saying,“ Please pray for us to the Lord our God.”

“ Say to the people of Israel, Any one of the people of Israel or of the strangers who sojourn in Israel who gives any of his children to Molech shall surely be put to death. The people of the land shall stone him with stones.

King Zedekiah sent for Jeremiah the prophet and received him at the third entrance of the temple of the Lord. The king said to Jeremiah,“ I will ask you a question; hide nothing from me.”Jeremiah said to Zedekiah,“ If I tell you, will you not surely put me to death? And if I give you counsel, you will not listen to me.”Then King Zedekiah swore secretly to Jeremiah,“ As the Lord lives, who made our souls, I will not put you to death or deliver you into the hand of these men who seek your life.”Then Jeremiah said to Zedekiah,“ Thus says the Lord, the God of hosts, the God of Israel: If you will surrender to the officials of the king of Babylon, then your life shall be spared, and this city shall not be burned with fire, and you and your house shall live.But if you do not surrender to the officials of the king of Babylon, then this city shall be given into the hand of the Chaldeans, and they shall burn it with fire, and you shall not escape from their hand.”King Zedekiah said to Jeremiah,“ I am afraid of the Judeans who have deserted to the Chaldeans, lest I be handed over to them and they deal cruelly with me.”Jeremiah said,“ You shall not be given to them. Obey now the voice of the Lord in what I say to you, and it shall be well with you, and your life shall be spared.But if you refuse to surrender, this is the vision which the Lord has shown to me:Behold, all the women left in the house of the king of Judah were being led out to the officials of the king of Babylon and were saying,“‘ Your trusted friends have deceived you and prevailed against you; now that your feet are sunk in the mud, they turn away from you.’All your wives and your sons shall be led out to the Chaldeans, and you yourself shall not escape from their hand, but shall be seized by the king of Babylon, and this city shall be burned with fire.”
