Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn[ yourselves] from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.

「所以你要對以色列家說：『主耶和華如此說：回轉吧！回轉離開你們的偶像，轉臉離開一切可憎的事。』

「所以你要對以色列家說：『主耶和華如此說：回轉吧！回轉離開你們的偶像，轉臉離開一切可憎的事。』

「因此，你要告訴以色列人，主耶和華這樣說，『你們要悔改，離棄你們的偶像，離棄那些可憎之事。

“因此，你要對以色列家說：‘主耶和華這樣說：回轉吧！轉離你們的偶像！轉臉離棄你們一切可憎之物吧！

『故此你要對以色列家說：主永恆主這麼說：回轉吧！轉離你們的偶像哦！轉臉離開你們一切可厭惡之像吧！

當告以色列家曰、主耶和華云、爾宜轉離爾之偶像、反背可惡之事、

當告以色列族曰、主耶和華命爾棄偶像、勿崇可惡之物、

故爾當告以色列族曰、主天主如是云、爾曹當悔改、轉離偶像、勿崇事勿崇事原文作面不向、可憎之物、轉離偶像勿崇事可憎之物或作棄偶像而歸誠轉離可憎之物

“ Therefore say to the people of Israel,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Repent! Turn from your idols and renounce all your detestable practices!

“ So speak to the people of Israel. Tell them,‘ The Lord and King says,“ Turn away from your sins! Also turn away from your gods. Give up all the evil things you have done. I hate them.

“ Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord God: Repent and turn away from your idols, and turn away your faces from all your abominations.

“ Therefore, tell the people of Israel,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Repent and turn away from your idols, and stop all your detestable sins.

“ Therefore, say to the house of Israel,‘ This is what the Lord GOD says: Repent and turn away from your idols; turn your faces away from all your detestable things.

“ Therefore say to the house of Israel,‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ Repent and turn away from your idols, and turn your faces away from all your abominations.

“ Therefore say to the house of Israel,‘ Thus says the Lord GOD:“ Repent, turn away from your idols, and turn your faces away from all your abominations.

Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Return ye, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.

“ Therefore, say to the house of Israel: This is what the Lord God says: Repent and turn away from your idols; turn your faces away from all your detestable things.

“ Therefore say to the house of Israel,‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says: Return! Turn from your idols, and turn your faces away from your abominations.

“ Therefore tell the house of Israel,‘ The Lord Yahweh says:“ Return, and turn yourselves from your idols! Turn away your faces from all your abominations.

Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn[ yourselves] from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made[ each one] for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;

Ye shall defile also the covering of thy graven images of silver, and the ornament of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as a menstruous cloth; thou shalt say unto it, Get thee hence.

And Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, If ye do return unto the LORD with all your hearts,[ then] put away the strange gods and Ashtaroth from among you, and prepare your hearts unto the LORD, and serve him only: and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.

What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things[ is] death.

Why[ then] is this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return.I hearkened and heard,[ but] they spake not aright: no man repented him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned to his course, as the horse rusheth into the battle.

Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse[ your] hands,[ ye] sinners; and purify[ your] hearts,[ ye] double minded.Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and[ your] joy to heaviness.Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the LORD will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols;

I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself[ thus]; Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed[ to the yoke]: turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou[ art] the LORD my God.Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon[ my] thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.[ Is] Ephraim my dear son?[ is he] a pleasant child? for since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith the LORD.

O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive[ us] graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands,[ Ye are] our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.

That thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy mouth any more because of thy shame, when I am pacified toward thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord GOD.

In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek the LORD their God.They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward,[ saying], Come, and let us join ourselves to the LORD in a perpetual covenant[ that] shall not be forgotten.

But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and[ then] to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to[ our] father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Ephraim[ shall say], What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard[ him], and observed him: I[ am] like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found.

And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD’S house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar,[ were] about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.

In that day shalt thou not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee them that rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be haughty because of my holy mountain.

Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commandedst thy servant Moses, saying,[ If] ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations:But[ if] ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven,[ yet] will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.

For our fathers have trespassed, and done[ that which was] evil in the eyes of the LORD our God, and have forsaken him, and have turned away their faces from the habitation of the LORD, and turned[ their] backs.

And he caused[ it] to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that[ is] in their hands.Who can tell[ if] God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

I have seen thine adulteries, and thy neighings, the lewdness of thy whoredom,[ and] thine abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe unto thee, O Jerusalem! wilt thou not be made clean? when[ shall it] once[ be]?

[ Yet] if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto thee in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness;And[ so] return unto thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, which led them away captive, and pray unto thee toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, the city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name:Then hear thou their prayer and their supplication in heaven thy dwelling place, and maintain their cause,

Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.Let us lift up our heart with[ our] hands unto God in the heavens.

Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that[ were] not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.Not for your sakes do I[ this], saith the Lord GOD, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.
