This is what the Lord GOD says: Woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing.

主耶和華如此說：「愚頑的先知有禍了，他們隨從自己的心意，卻一無所見。

主耶和華如此說：「禍哉！那些愚頑的先知，隨從自己的心意，卻一無所見。

主耶和華說，愚頑的先知有禍了！他們沒有看到異象，卻私自發預言。

主永恆主這麼說；有禍啊愚頑的神言人，隨從自己的靈說話的，並且說的又是關於自己未曾見過的事！

主耶和華云、禍哉、彼愚昧之先知、乃狥己意、無所見也、

主耶和華曰、彼偽先知、未睹異象、心有所思、而言虛幻、禍必不遠。

主天主如是云、愚昧之先知、未曾得默示、惟從己意者、禍必臨之、

This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing!

The Lord and King says,“ How terrible it will be for you foolish prophets! You say what your own minds tell you to. Your visions do not come from me.

Thus says the Lord God, Woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!

This is what the Sovereign Lord says: What sorrow awaits the false prophets who are following their own imaginations and have seen nothing at all!’

This is what the Lord God says:“ Woe to the foolish prophets who are following their own spirit and have seen nothing!

Thus says the Lord GOD:“ Woe to the foolish prophets, who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing!

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!

This is what the Lord God says: Woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing.

This is what the sovereign LORD says: Woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit but have seen nothing!

The Lord Yahweh says,“ Woe to the foolish prophets, who follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!

The prophet who has only a dream should recount the dream, but the one who has my word should speak my word truthfully, for what is straw compared to grain?”— this is the LORD’s declaration.“ Is not my word like fire”— this is the LORD’s declaration—“ and like a hammer that pulverizes rock?Therefore, take note! I am against the prophets”— the LORD’s declaration—“ who steal my words from each other.I am against the prophets”— the LORD’s declaration—“ who use their own tongues to make a declaration.I am against those who prophesy false dreams”— the LORD’s declaration—“ telling them and leading my people astray with their reckless lies. It was not I who sent or commanded them, and they are of no benefit at all to these people”— this is the LORD’s declaration.

Your prophets saw visions for you that were empty and deceptive; they did not reveal your iniquity and so restore your fortunes. They saw pronouncements for you that were empty and misleading.

The days of punishment have come; the days of retribution have come. Let Israel recognize it! The prophet is a fool, and the inspired man is insane, because of the magnitude of your iniquity and hostility.

“ Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel. Prophesy, and say to them,‘ This is what the Lord GOD says to the shepherds: Woe to the shepherds of Israel, who have been feeding themselves! Shouldn’t the shepherds feed their flock?

The LORD also said to me,“ Take the equipment of a foolish shepherd.

“ Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture!” This is the LORD’s declaration.

“ But woe to you Pharisees! You give a tenth of mint, rue, and every kind of herb, and you bypass justice and love for God. These things you should have done without neglecting the others.“ Woe to you Pharisees! You love the front seat in the synagogues and greetings in the marketplaces.“ Woe to you! You are like unmarked graves; the people who walk over them don’t know it.”One of the experts in the law answered him,“ Teacher, when you say these things you insult us too.”Then he said,“ Woe also to you experts in the law! You load people with burdens that are hard to carry, and yet you yourselves don’t touch these burdens with one of your fingers.“ Woe to you! You build tombs for the prophets, and your fathers killed them.

But they will not make further progress, for their foolishness will be clear to all, as was the foolishness of Jannes and Jambres.

“ Woe to you experts in the law! You have taken away the key to knowledge. You didn’t go in yourselves, and you hindered those who were trying to go in.”

“ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. For you don’t go in, and you don’t allow those entering to go in.

he is conceited and understands nothing, but has an unhealthy interest in disputes and arguments over words. From these come envy, quarreling, slander, evil suspicions,

Say,‘ This is what the Lord GOD says: Woe to the women who sew magic bands on the wrist of every hand and who make veils for the heads of people of every size in order to ensnare lives. Will you ensnare the lives of my people but preserve your own?

The tongue of the wise makes knowledge attractive, but the mouth of fools blurts out foolishness.

For if I preach the gospel, I have no reason to boast, because I am compelled to preach— and woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!

They saw false visions and their divinations were a lie. They claimed,“ This is the LORD’s declaration,” when the LORD did not send them, yet they wait for the fulfillment of their message.Didn’t you see a false vision and speak a lying divination when you proclaimed,“ This is the LORD’s declaration,” even though I had not spoken?

A discerning mind seeks knowledge, but the mouth of fools feeds on foolishness.

Fools! Didn’t he who made the outside make the inside too?
