故虛偽之異象、爾不得復睹、無憑之卜筮、爾不得復占、我必救民於爾手、使知我乃耶和華。

故爾不得復妄言得默示、不得復占虛偽之卜筮、我必救我民脫於爾手、爾則知我乃主、

therefore you will no longer see false visions or practice divination. I will save my people from your hands. And then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

So you will never see false visions again. You will not use your magic tricks anymore. I will save my people from your power. Then you will know that I am the Lord.” ’ ”

Because of all this, you will no longer talk of seeing visions that you never saw, nor will you make predictions. For I will rescue my people from your grasp. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”

The great dragon was hurled down— that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. (niv)

Their visions are false and their divinations a lie. Even though the Lord has not sent them, they say,“ The Lord declares,” and expect him to fulfill their words.Have you not seen false visions and uttered lying divinations when you say,“ The Lord declares,” though I have not spoken?“‘ Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because of your false words and lying visions, I am against you, declares the Sovereign Lord.My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will not belong to the council of my people or be listed in the records of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Sovereign Lord.“‘ Because they lead my people astray, saying,“ Peace,” when there is no peace, and because, when a flimsy wall is built, they cover it with whitewash,therefore tell those who cover it with whitewash that it is going to fall. Rain will come in torrents, and I will send hailstones hurtling down, and violent winds will burst forth.When the wall collapses, will people not ask you,“ Where is the whitewash you covered it with?”“‘ Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: In my wrath I will unleash a violent wind, and in my anger hailstones and torrents of rain will fall with destructive fury.I will tear down the wall you have covered with whitewash and will level it to the ground so that its foundation will be laid bare. When it falls, you will be destroyed in it; and you will know that I am the Lord.So I will pour out my wrath against the wall and against those who covered it with whitewash. I will say to you,“ The wall is gone and so are those who whitewashed it,those prophets of Israel who prophesied to Jerusalem and saw visions of peace for her when there was no peace, declares the Sovereign Lord.”’ (niv)

All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast— all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world. (niv)

For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. (niv)

But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, is to be put to death.” (niv)

I will set my face against them. Although they have come out of the fire, the fire will yet consume them. And when I set my face against them, you will know that I am the Lord. (niv)

No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God’s approval. (niv)

For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. (niv)

The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise its authority for forty-two months. (niv)

I will set my face against them and make them an example and a byword. I will remove them from my people. Then you will know that I am the Lord. (niv)

But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone. (niv)

And I saw what looked like a sea of glass glowing with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious over the beast and its image and over the number of its name. They held harps given them by God (niv)

To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— (niv)
