I will spread my net for him, and he will be caught in my snare; I will bring him to Babylonia, the land of the Chaldeans, but he will not see it, and there he will die.

I will spread out my net to catch him. He will be caught in my trap. I will bring him to Babylon. It is the land where the Chaldeans live. But he will not see it. He will die there.

地上的居民哪！恐懼、陷坑和網羅，都臨近你們！那逃避恐懼聲音的，必墮入陷坑；那從陷坑裡上來的，必被網羅纏住；因為天上的窗都開了，地的根基也震動了。

我指著我的永生起誓：他藐視了自己所起的誓，背棄了與王所立的約，因此他必死在巴比倫，就是那立他作王的巴比倫王的國家。這是耶和華的宣告。

主耶和華這樣說：我必用多國的群眾，把我的網撒在你身上，他們必用我的網把你拉上來。

於是四圍的列國從各地來攻擊牠，把他們的網撒在牠身上，把牠困在他們的坑中。他們把牠放進籠裡，用鈎子帶到巴比倫王那裡，囚在獄中，使牠的聲音在以色列眾山上不再聽見。

你必逃不出他的手，必被拿住，交在他的手中。你必親眼看見巴比倫王，他必親口和你說話；你也必到巴比倫去。’

迦勒底人的軍隊追趕，在耶利哥的原野上把西底家追上了；他的全軍都離開他四散了。他們把王擒住，把他解到哈馬地的利比拉巴比倫王那裡；他就宣判他的罪。巴比倫王在利比拉，當著西底家眼前殺了他的眾子，也殺了猶大所有的領袖，並且把西底家的眼睛弄瞎，然後用銅鍊鎖住他。巴比倫王把他帶到巴比倫去，關在牢裡，直到他去世的日子。

追趕我們的比空中的鷹還快；他們在山上追趕我們，在曠野埋伏攻擊我們。耶和華所膏立的，我們鼻孔的氣息，在他們的陷坑中被捉住；我們論到他曾說：“我們要在他的蔭庇之下，在列國中存活。”

我們遭遇的，只是恐懼、陷阱、毀壞和滅亡。”

耶和華必使火炭落在惡人身上，烈火、硫磺和旱風是他們杯中的分。

那麼，就知道是神顛倒我的案件，用他的網圈住我。

正如網羅臨到全地的所有居民。

他從高天降火，使火進入我的骨頭裡（按照《馬索拉文本》，“他從高天降火，使火進入我的骨頭裡”作“他從高天降火進入我的骨頭裡，他管理火”；現參照《七十士譯本》翻譯）。他設置網羅絆我的腳，使我退去。他使我孤單淒涼，終日愁煩。
