But the Lord will again make a distinction between the livestock of the Israelites and that of the Egyptians. Not a single one of Israel’s animals will die!

Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says:“ My servants will eat, but you will starve. My servants will drink, but you will be thirsty. My servants will rejoice, but you will be sad and ashamed.My servants will sing for joy, but you will cry in sorrow and despair.

Then you will again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.”

But the blood on your doorposts will serve as a sign, marking the houses where you are staying. When I see the blood, I will pass over you. This plague of death will not touch you when I strike the land of Egypt.
