法老見災禍平息了，心又固執起來，不聽摩西、亞倫，正如永恆主所說的。

還是你輕看他慈惠寬容與恆忍之豐富，不知道上帝的慈惠正領着你悔改麼？然而你竟依順你的剛愎和不悔改的心、為自己積聚着上帝的義怒、於上帝義怒的日子，就是上帝公義的刑罰顯示出來的日子；
