And in very deed for this[ cause] have I raised thee up, for to shew[ in] thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.

But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.

But I had a special reason for making you king. I decided to show you my power. I wanted my name to become known everywhere on earth.

But for this purpose I have raised you up, to show you my power, so that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth.

But I have spared you for a purpose— to show you my power and to spread my fame throughout the earth.

Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:That[ men] may know that thou, whose name alone[ is] JEHOVAH,[ art] the most high over all the earth.

The LORD hath made all[ things] for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.

Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations.

To him that smote Egypt in their firstborn: for his mercy[ endureth] for ever:And brought out Israel from among them: for his mercy[ endureth] for ever:With a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm: for his mercy[ endureth] for ever.To him which divided the Red sea into parts: for his mercy[ endureth] for ever:And made Israel to pass through the midst of it: for his mercy[ endureth] for ever:But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea: for his mercy[ endureth] for ever.

Now I know that the LORD[ is] greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly[ he was] above them.

And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence,[ even to them] which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.

Who[ is] like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who[ is] like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful[ in] praises, doing wonders?Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them.Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people[ which] thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided[ them] in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.The people shall hear,[ and] be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina.Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away.Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of thine arm they shall be[ as] still as a stone; till thy people pass over, O LORD, till the people pass over,[ which] thou hast purchased.

For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

For this[ is] thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.

Woe unto us! who shall deliver us out of the hand of these mighty Gods? these[ are] the Gods that smote the Egyptians with all the plagues in the wilderness.

That led[ them] by the right hand of Moses with his glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make himself an everlasting name?That led them through the deep, as an horse in the wilderness,[ that] they should not stumble?As a beast goeth down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD caused him to rest: so didst thou lead thy people, to make thyself a glorious name.

[ What] if God, willing to shew[ his] wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I[ am] the LORD. And they did so.

For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that[ were] on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed.And as soon as we had heard[ these things], our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the LORD your God, he[ is] God in heaven above, and in earth beneath.

But cursed[ be] the deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt thing: for I[ am] a great King, saith the LORD of hosts, and my name[ is] dreadful among the heathen.

For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name[ shall be] great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense[ shall be] offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name[ shall be] great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts.
