And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the ark:

He took the tablets of the covenant law and placed them in the ark, attached the poles to the ark and put the atonement cover over it.

He got the tablets of the covenant law. He placed them in the ark. He put the poles through its rings. And he put the cover on it. The cover was the place where sin is paid for.

He took the testimony and put it into the ark, and put the poles on the ark and set the mercy seat above on the ark.

He took the stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant and placed them inside the Ark. Then he attached the carrying poles to the Ark, and he set the Ark’s cover— the place of atonement— on top of it.

As the LORD commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.

And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer[ it to be so] now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as the LORD commanded me.

[ There was] nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made[ a covenant] with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein[ was] the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

Whom God hath set forth[ to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

For Christ[ is] the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee.And thou shalt make a mercy seat[ of] pure gold: two cubits and a half[ shall be] the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof.And thou shalt make two cherubims[ of] gold,[ of] beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end:[ even] of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.And the cherubims shall stretch forth[ their] wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces[ shall look] one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.

And he made the mercy seat[ of] pure gold: two cubits and a half[ was] the length thereof, and one cubit and a half the breadth thereof.And he made two cherubims[ of] gold, beaten out of one piece made he them, on the two ends of the mercy seat;One cherub on the end on this side, and another cherub on the[ other] end on that side: out of the mercy seat made he the cherubims on the two ends thereof.And the cherubims spread out[ their] wings on high,[ and] covered with their wings over the mercy seat, with their faces one to another;[ even] to the mercy seatward were the faces of the cherubims.

I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law[ is] within my heart.

Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;And[ having] an high priest over the house of God;

And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.

And thou shalt put therein the ark of the testimony, and cover the ark with the vail.
