耶和華對摩西說：“你起程回到埃及去的時候，要留意我交在你手裡的一切奇事，把它們行在法老面前；我卻要使他的心剛硬，他就不讓人民離開。

The Lord said to Moses,“ When you return to Egypt, see that you perform before Pharaoh all the wonders I have given you the power to do. But I will harden his heart so that he will not let the people go.

The Lord spoke to Moses. He said,“ When you return to Egypt, do all the amazing things I have given you the power to do. Do them in the sight of Pharaoh. But I will make him stubborn. He will not let the people go.

And the Lord said to Moses,“ When you go back to Egypt, see that you do before Pharaoh all the miracles that I have put in your power. But I will harden his heart, so that he will not let the people go.

And the Lord told Moses,“ When you arrive back in Egypt, go to Pharaoh and perform all the miracles I have empowered you to do. But I will harden his heart so he will refuse to let the people go.

The LORD instructed Moses,“ When you go back to Egypt, make sure you do before Pharaoh all the wonders that I have put within your power. But I will harden his heart so that he won’t let the people go.

And the LORD said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.

Yahweh said to Moses,“ When you go back into Egypt, see that you do before Pharaoh all the wonders which I have put in your hand, but I will harden his heart and he will not let the people go.

這樣看來，他願意憐憫誰就憐憫誰，願意誰剛硬就使誰剛硬。

耶和華啊！你為甚麼使我們走錯，離開你的道路？使我們的心剛硬，不敬畏你呢？求你為你眾僕人的緣故，為你產業的各支派的緣故，回心轉意吧！

因此，我要伸手，用我在埃及快要施行的一切異能，擊打埃及；然後他才會讓你們離去。

“神使他們瞎了眼，硬了心，免得他們眼睛看見，心裡明白而回轉過來；我就醫好他們。”

法老心裡剛硬，不肯聽他們的話，就像耶和華所說的一樣。

因為這是出於耶和華的旨意，他使他們心裡剛硬，要與以色列人交戰，好把他們完全毀滅，使他們不蒙憐憫，卻要被消滅，正如耶和華吩咐摩西的。

耶和華使法老心裡剛硬，他就不肯聽摩西和亞倫的話，就像耶和華對摩西所說的。

法老的心剛硬，不肯讓以色列人離開，就像耶和華藉著摩西所說的。耶和華對摩西說：“你要到法老那裡去，因為我已經使他的心和他臣僕的心剛硬，為要在他們中間顯出我這些神蹟；

耶和華使埃及王法老的心剛硬，法老就追趕以色列人；因為以色列人是靠著耶和華高舉的手出來的。

我要使法老心硬，我也要在埃及地加增我的神蹟奇事。

但是耶和華使法老的心剛硬，以致法老不肯讓以色列人離開。

他們既然故意不認識神，神就任憑他們存著敗壞的心，去作那些不正當的事。

你要使這子民的心思遲鈍（“遲鈍”直譯是“蒙脂油”），耳朵不靈，眼睛昏暗，免得他們眼睛看見，耳朵聽見，心裡明白，回轉過來，得到醫治。”

他回答：‘我要出去，在亞哈所有先知的口中，作說謊的靈。’耶和華說：‘你可以去引誘他，你也必能成功，你去這樣行吧！’

它又“作了絆腳的石頭，使人跌倒的磐石。”他們跌倒是因為不順從這道，他們這樣是必然的。

對於滅亡的人，這是死亡的氣味叫人死；對於得救的人，這卻是生命的香氣使人活。這些事誰夠資格作呢？

並且在那些沉淪的人身上，行各樣不義的欺詐，因為他們不領受愛真理的心，使他們得救。因此，神就使錯謬的思想運行在他們當中，讓他們相信虛謊，叫所有不信真理倒喜愛不義的人，都被定罪。

從亞嫩谷旁邊的亞羅珥和谷中的城，直到基列，沒有一座城太高，是我們不能攻下的；耶和華我們的神把這一切都交給我們了。

正如經上所記：“神給了他們麻木的靈，有眼睛卻看不見，有耳朵卻聽不到，直到今日。”大衛也說：“願他們的筵席成為他們的網羅、陷阱、絆腳石和報應；願他們的眼睛昏暗，不能看見；願他們的背脊常常彎曲。”

耶和華說：“人既然是屬肉體的，我的靈就不永遠住在他裡面，但他的日子還有一百二十年。”

他改變敵人的心去憎恨他的子民，用詭詐待他的眾僕人。

但是希實本王西宏不肯讓我們從他那裡經過，因為耶和華我們的神使他的心意頑固，使他的心剛硬，為要把他交在你的手裡，像今日一樣。耶和華對我說：‘看哪，我已經把西宏和他的地交給你了，你可以佔領他的地作產業。’“那時西宏和他所有的人民都出來，攻擊我們，在雅雜與我們作戰。耶和華我們的神把他交給了我們，我們就把他、他的兒子們和他所有的人民都擊殺了。

我要使法老的心剛硬，他就必追趕他們；這樣，我就可以在法老身上和他的全軍身上得到榮耀，埃及人就必知道我是耶和華。”於是以色列人就這樣行了。
