是但支派一个妇人的儿子，父亲是推罗人。他善用金、银、铜、铁、石、木，和紫色、蓝色、细麻和朱红色线制造各物，并精于雕刻，又能设计各样交给他做的图案。我派这人与你的巧匠和你父亲—我主大卫的巧匠一同做工。

各样美善的恩泽和各样完美的赏赐都是从上头来的，从众光之父那里降下来的；在他并没有改变，也没有转动的影儿。

耶和华的灵必住在他身上，就是智慧和聪明的灵，谋略和能力的灵，知识和敬畏耶和华的灵。他必以敬畏耶和华为乐；行审判不凭眼见，断是非也不凭耳闻；却要以公义审判贫寒人，以正直判断地上的困苦人，以口中的棍击打全地，以嘴里的气杀戮恶人。公义必当他的腰带，信实必作他胁下的带子。

在他里面蕴藏着一切智慧和知识。

恩赐有许多种，却是同一位圣灵所赐。事奉有许多种，却是事奉同一位主。工作有许多种，却是同一位上帝在万人中运行万事。圣灵彰显在各人身上，是要使人得益处。有人藉着圣灵领受智慧的言语；有人也靠着同一位圣灵领受知识的言语；又有人由同一位圣灵领受信心；还有人由同一位圣灵领受医病的恩赐；又有人能行异能，又有人能作先知，又有人能辨别诸灵，又有人能说方言，又有人能翻方言。

主耶和华的灵在我身上，因为耶和华用膏膏我，叫我报好信息给贫穷的人，差遣我医好伤心的人，报告被掳的得释放，被捆绑的得自由；宣告耶和华的恩年和我们的上帝报仇的日子；安慰所有悲哀的人，为锡安悲哀的人，赐华冠代替灰烬，喜乐的油代替悲哀，赞美为衣代替忧伤的灵；称他们为“公义树”，是耶和华所栽植的，为要彰显他的荣耀。

他的上帝教导他，指导他合宜的方法。
