上帝又對摩西說：「你要告訴以色列人是我派遣你到他們那裡，我是他們祖先的上帝耶和華，是亞伯拉罕的上帝，以撒的上帝，雅各的上帝。耶和華是我的名字，直到永遠，世世代代的人都要這樣稱呼我。

約瑟對他的弟兄們說：「我是約瑟！我的父親還健在嗎？」他的弟兄們嚇得一句話也說不出來。

耶和華又指示摩西說：「你和亞倫、拿答、亞比戶及以色列的七十位長老上我這裡來，遠遠地敬拜我。只有你可以靠近我，其他人，包括全體百姓，都不得走近。」摩西下山把耶和華的話和法令都告訴百姓，百姓齊聲回答：「我們願意遵行耶和華的一切吩咐。」
