Redeem the firstborn donkey with a lamb, but if you do not redeem it, break its neck. Redeem all your firstborn sons.“ No one is to appear before me empty-handed.

你要守無酵節，要照我吩咐的，在亞筆月內所定的日期，吃無酵餅七天，因為你是在這個月從埃及出來的。你們不可空手朝見我。

每年三次，就是在除酵節、七七節、住棚節，你所有的男丁都要在耶和華選擇的地方，朝見耶和華你的神；但不可空手朝見耶和華。

那時法老心裡剛硬，不讓我們離開，耶和華就把埃及地所有頭生的，無論是人或是牲畜都殺了；所以，我把所有頭生的公牲口都獻給耶和華為祭；但我所有頭生的兒子，卻都要代贖回來。

掃羅對僕人說：“如果我們去，有甚麼可以送給那人呢？因為我們袋裡的食物都已經用盡了，也沒有禮物可以送給那神人，我們還有甚麼呢？”僕人回答掃羅：“看哪！我手裡有三克銀子，可以送給那神人，請他告訴我們應該走的路。”

有血肉生命頭生的，無論是人或是牲畜，就是他們獻給耶和華的，都必歸給你；只是人類頭生的，你總要贖出來；不潔淨牲畜頭生的，也要贖出來。

所以，你要年年按著定期遵守這定例。

“你要揀選利未人代替以色列人所有頭生的，也要揀選利未人的牲畜代替以色列人的牲畜；利未人要歸我，我是耶和華。至於那超過利未人總數的二百七十三個，需要贖回的以色列人的長子，你要每人收取贖銀五十七克，要按照人數，根據聖所的秤收取，就是按照聖所的標準重量（“就是按照聖所的標準重量”原文作“一舍客勒是二十季拉”）。你要把那超額人數的贖銀，交給亞倫和他的兒子。”於是，摩西就從那些被利未人贖回以外的人收取贖銀；從頭生的以色列人收取的銀子，根據聖所的秤，共有約十五公斤。摩西照著耶和華的吩咐，把這贖銀交給了亞倫和他的兒子，正如耶和華吩咐摩西的。

王回答亞勞拿：“不！我一定要按價錢向你買，我不要用白白得來的作燔祭獻給耶和華我的神。”於是大衛用五百七十克銀子，買下了那打禾場和牛。
