Now go, lead the people to the place I spoke of, and my angel will go before you. However, when the time comes for me to punish, I will punish them for their sin.”

等到他們失足的時候，我要伸冤報應；因為他們遭遇災難的日子近了，那預備要臨到他們身上的事，必快快臨到。

“看哪，我在你面前差派使者，好在路上保護你，領你到我預備的地方去。

所以，從義人亞伯的血起，到巴拉加的兒子撒迦利亞的血為止，他就是你們在聖所和祭壇中間所殺的，所有義人在地上所流的血，都要歸在你們身上。

不可跪拜它們，也不可事奉它們，因為我耶和華你們的神是忌邪的神；恨惡我的，我必追討他們的罪，從父親到兒子，直到三四代。

“這惡會眾向我發怨言要到幾時呢？以色列人向我所發的怨言，我都聽見了。你要對他們說：‘耶和華說，我指著我的永生起誓，我必照著你們所說給我聽的，對待你們：你們的屍體必倒在這曠野；你們中間被數點過的，就是按著你們的數目，從二十歲及以上，向我發過怨言的，都不得進入我起誓給你們居住的那地；只有耶孚尼的兒子迦勒和嫩的兒子約書亞才可以進去。

我因這些事怎能不施行懲罰呢？像這樣的國家，我怎能不親自報復呢？”這是耶和華的宣告。

我也曾說：“我要把你們從埃及的痛苦中領出來，到迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人之地去，就是到流奶與蜜之地去。”’

他不再是敵對者，並且他面前的使者拯救了他們。他以自己的愛和憐憫救贖了他們；在古時的一切日子，他背負他們，懷抱他們。

我們向耶和華呼求，他就聽了我們的聲音，派使者把我們從埃及領出來；現在我們就在你邊界上的城加低斯。

還是你藐視神豐富的恩慈、寬容和忍耐，不曉得他的恩慈是要領你悔改的嗎？可是你一直硬著心腸，不肯悔改，為自己積蓄神的忿怒，就是他彰顯公義審判的那天所要發的忿怒。神必照各人所作的報應各人：

耶和華說：“我必親自與你同去，也必給你安息。”摩西對他說：“你若是不親自與我們同去，就不要把我們從這裡領上去。

我要差派使者在你前面；我要把迦南人、亞摩利人、赫人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人趕出去，

我追討以色列的悖逆時，必要懲罰伯特利的祭壇；壇角必砍下，跌落在地。

耶和華我們的神啊！你應允了他們；你雖然按照他們所行的報應他們，但對他們來說，你是一位赦免人的神。
