Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac and Israel, to whom you swore by your own self:‘ I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and I will give your descendants all this land I promised them, and it will be their inheritance forever.’”

永恆主向亞伯蘭顯現，說：『我要把這地賜給你的後裔。』亞伯蘭就在那裏給向他顯現的永恆主築了一座壇。

『永恆主發神諭說：我指着自己來起誓，你既作了這事，不留下你兒子、你獨生的兒子，

就在那一天，永恆主就同亞伯蘭立了約說：『這地我已經給了你的後裔了：就是從埃及河直到大河、就是伯拉河、那一帶：

就領他出去到外邊，說：『你望着天，數數眾星，看能數得過來不能。』又對他說：『你的後裔就要這樣。』

願那贖救了我脫離一切禍患的那天使賜福與這兩個兒童；願他們稱為在我名下、也在我祖亞伯拉罕我父以撒名下的；願他們在全地中生養眾多。』

上帝對他說：『我是全能的上帝；你要繁殖增多，必有一國、集團之國、由你而生，必有君王由你腰腎中生出。我所賜給亞伯拉罕和以撒的地，這地我必賜給你、和你以後的苗裔。』

永恆主又對亞伯蘭說：『我是永恆主，曾領你出了迦勒底的吾珥，為的是要將這地賜給你，使你取得它為基業。』

他扶助了他的僕人以色列，來記念自己的憐憫、就是向亞伯拉罕和他後裔所施到永遠，照主自己對我們列祖所說過的。』

求你記得你僕人亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各；不要顧到這人民的頑梗和他們的惡、他們的罪，

看哪，永恆主站在他旁邊，說：『我是永恆主，你祖父亞伯拉罕的上帝，以撒的上帝；你所躺臥的地我要賜給你和你的後裔。你的後裔必像地上的塵沙那麼多；你必向西向東向北向南突破疆界；地上萬宗族必用你的名和你後裔的名給自己祝福。

你所看見的一切地，我都要賜給你和你的後裔，直到永遠。我要使你的後裔像地上的塵沙那麼多；若有人能數得清地上的塵沙，你的後裔也就能數得清。

你寄居在這地，我必與你同在，賜福與你，因為我要將這些地賜給你和你的後裔；我必實行我向你父亞伯拉罕所起的誓。我必使你的後裔增多、如同天上的星；我必將這一切地都賜給你的後裔；地上萬國都必用你後裔的名來給自己祝福。

乃是因為永恆主愛你們，他是在守着他向你們列祖所起的誓，他才用大力的手把你們領出來，把你們從為奴之家贖救出來、脫離埃及王法老的手。

那麼我就要記起我的約、和雅各立的，我的約、和以撒立的，我的約、和亞伯拉罕立的：我都要記起；這地我也要懷念。
