“ The elders of Israel will listen to you. Then you and the elders are to go to the king of Egypt and say to him,‘ The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Let us take a three-day journey into the wilderness to offer sacrifices to the Lord our God.’

“ The elders of Israel will listen to you. Then you and the elders must go to the king of Egypt. You must say to him,‘ The Lord has met with us. He is the God of the Hebrews. Let us take a journey that lasts about three days. We want to go into the desert to offer sacrifices to the Lord our God.’

And they will listen to your voice, and you and the elders of Israel shall go to the king of Egypt and say to him,‘ The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us; and now, please let us go a three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.’

“ The elders of Israel will accept your message. Then you and the elders must go to the king of Egypt and tell him,‘ The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. So please let us take a three day journey into the wilderness to offer sacrifices to the Lord, our God.’

They will listen to what you say. Then you, along with the elders of Israel, must go to the king of Egypt and say to him: The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Now please let us go on a three-day trip into the wilderness so that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.

Then they will pay attention to what you say; and you with the elders of Israel will come to the king of Egypt, and you will say to him,‘ The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. So now, please let us go a three days’ journey into the wilderness, so that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.’

Then they will heed your voice; and you shall come, you and the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt; and you shall say to him,‘ The Lord God of the Hebrews has met with us; and now, please, let us go three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.’

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Go to Pharaoh and say to him,‘ This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says:“ Let my people go, so that they may worship me.” (niv)

Then say to him,‘ The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to say to you: Let my people go, so that they may worship me in the wilderness. But until now you have not listened. (niv)

Just as we fully obeyed Moses, so we will obey you. Only may the Lord your God be with you as he was with Moses. (niv)

Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and said,“ Go, worship the Lord. Even your women and children may go with you; only leave your flocks and herds behind.”But Moses said,“ You must allow us to have sacrifices and burnt offerings to present to the Lord our God.Our livestock too must go with us; not a hoof is to be left behind. We have to use some of them in worshiping the Lord our God, and until we get there we will not know what we are to use to worship the Lord.” (niv)

Also in Judah the hand of God was on the people to give them unity of mind to carry out what the king and his officials had ordered, following the word of the Lord. (niv)

“ Go, assemble the elders of Israel and say to them,‘ The Lord, the God of your fathers— the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob— appeared to me and said: I have watched over you and have seen what has been done to you in Egypt. (niv)

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Get up early in the morning, confront Pharaoh and say to him,‘ This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me, (niv)

“ For the generations to come this burnt offering is to be made regularly at the entrance to the tent of meeting, before the Lord. There I will meet you and speak to you;there also I will meet with the Israelites, and the place will be consecrated by my glory. (niv)

Put the altar in front of the curtain that shields the ark of the covenant law— before the atonement cover that is over the tablets of the covenant law— where I will meet with you. (niv)

There, above the cover between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the covenant law, I will meet with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites. (niv)

After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision:“ Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.” (niv)

and they believed. And when they heard that the Lord was concerned about them and had seen their misery, they bowed down and worshiped.Afterward Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said,“ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says:‘ Let my people go, so that they may hold a festival to me in the wilderness.’”Pharaoh said,“ Who is the Lord, that I should obey him and let Israel go? I do not know the Lord and I will not let Israel go.”Then they said,“ The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Now let us take a three-day journey into the wilderness to offer sacrifices to the Lord our God, or he may strike us with plagues or with the sword.” (niv)

Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said,“ Go, sacrifice to your God here in the land.”But Moses said,“ That would not be right. The sacrifices we offer the Lord our God would be detestable to the Egyptians. And if we offer sacrifices that are detestable in their eyes, will they not stone us?We must take a three-day journey into the wilderness to offer sacrifices to the Lord our God, as he commands us.”Pharaoh said,“ I will let you go to offer sacrifices to the Lord your God in the wilderness, but you must not go very far. Now pray for me.” (niv)

Balaam said to Balak,“ Stay here beside your offering while I meet with him over there.”The Lord met with Balaam and put a word in his mouth and said,“ Go back to Balak and give him this word.” (niv)

Grind some of it to powder and place it in front of the ark of the covenant law in the tent of meeting, where I will meet with you. It shall be most holy to you. (niv)

When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said,“ If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.”So God led the people around by the desert road toward the Red Sea. The Israelites went up out of Egypt ready for battle. (niv)

And God said,“ I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.” (niv)

Jacob said to Joseph,“ God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and there he blessed me (niv)

Your troops will be willing on your day of battle. Arrayed in holy splendor, your young men will come to you like dew from the morning’s womb. (niv)

When Abram was ninety- nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said,“ I am God Almighty; walk before me faithfully and be blameless. (niv)

and if you do not listen to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I have sent to you again and again( though you have not listened), (niv)
