亞希雅將自己穿的那件新衣撕成十二片，

行奉獻神殿的禮就獻公牛一百隻，公綿羊二百隻，綿羊羔四百隻，又照以色列支派的數目獻公山羊十二隻，為以色列眾人作贖罪祭；

叫你們在我國裏，坐在我的席上吃喝，並且坐在寶座上，審判以色列十二個支派。」

他們從約旦河中取來的那十二塊石頭，約書亞就立在吉甲，

「你從民中要揀選十二個人，每支派一人，吩咐他們說：『你們從這裏，從約旦河中、祭司腳站定的地方，取十二塊石頭帶過去，放在你們今夜要住宿的地方。』」

約書亞將這些話都寫在神的律法書上，又將一塊大石頭立在橡樹下耶和華的聖所旁邊。約書亞對百姓說：「看哪，這石頭可以向我們作見證；因為是聽見了耶和華所吩咐我們的一切話，倘或你們背棄你們的神，這石頭就可以向你們作見證。」

又知道所賜給我的恩典，那稱為教會柱石的雅各、磯法、約翰，就向我和巴拿巴用右手行相交之禮，叫我們往外邦人那裏去，他們往受割禮的人那裏去。

你要為我築土壇，在上面以牛羊獻為燔祭和平安祭。凡記下我名的地方，我必到那裏賜福給你。你若為我築一座石壇，不可用鑿成的石頭，因你在上頭一動家具，就把壇污穢了。你上我的壇，不可用臺階，免得露出你的下體來。』」

以色列人就照約書亞所吩咐的，按着以色列人支派的數目，從約旦河中取了十二塊石頭，都遵耶和華所吩咐約書亞的行了。他們把石頭帶過去，到他們所住宿的地方，就放在那裏。約書亞另把十二塊石頭立在約旦河中，在擡約櫃的祭司腳站立的地方；直到今日，那石頭還在那裏。

城牆有十二根基，根基上有羔羊十二使徒的名字。

這些寶石都要按着以色列十二個兒子的名字，彷彿刻圖書，刻十二個支派的名字。

「你曉諭以色列人，從他們手下取杖，每支派一根；從他們所有的首領，按着支派，共取十二根。你要將各人的名字寫在各人的杖上，
