不可与你们中间所剩下的这些国家往来。你们不可提他们神明的名，不可指着它们起誓，不可事奉它们，也不可敬拜它们。

万军之耶和华说：“在那日，我要从地上除灭偶像的名，使它不再被记得；我也必使这地不再有先知，不再有污秽的灵。

因为我必从她口中除掉诸巴力的名号，不再有人提这名号。

要谨慎，免得有人失去了上帝的恩典；免得有毒根生出来扰乱你们，因而使许多人沾染污秽，

只是务要谨守遵行耶和华的仆人摩西所吩咐你们的诫命和律法，爱耶和华—你们的上帝，行他一切的道，守他的诫命，紧紧跟随他，尽心尽性事奉他。”

追逐别神的，他们的愁苦必增加；他们所浇奠的血我不献上，我嘴唇也不提别神的名号。

你们要谨慎行事，不要像无知的人，要像智慧的人。

你们要分外谨慎，爱耶和华—你们的上帝。

他若恒久遵行我的诫命典章如今日一样，我就必坚定他的国，直到永远。’现今在以色列众人眼前，在耶和华的会中，在我们上帝的垂听下，你们务要遵行并寻求耶和华—你们上帝的一切诫命，如此你们就可以承受这美地，并留给你们的子孙，永远为业。“我儿所罗门哪，你当认识耶和华—你父的上帝，全心乐意地事奉他，因为耶和华鉴察众人的心，知道一切心思意念。你若寻求他，他必使你寻见；你若离弃他，他必永远丢弃你。

因为，他们暗中所做的，就是连提起来都是可耻的。

尼波、巴力‧免（名字是改了的）、西比玛；他们给建造的城另起别名。

我曾说：“我要谨慎我的言行，免得我的舌头犯罪；恶人在我面前的时候，我要用嚼环勒住我的口。”

你们要对他们这样说：“那些不是创造天地的神明，必从地上、从天下被除灭！”

要拆毁他们的祭坛，打碎他们的柱像，用火焚烧他们的亚舍拉，砍断他们神明的雕刻偶像，并要从那地方除去他们的名。

“所以，你们为自己的缘故要分外谨慎；因为耶和华在何烈山，从火中对你们说话的那日，你们没有看见任何形像。
