你要注意自己的言行和教導，要持之以恆。這樣，你不但能救自己，也能救那些聽你教導的人。

不可與你們中間剩下的異族混雜，不可提他們的神明或憑它們起誓，不可供奉、祭拜他們的神明。

「到那天，我必剷除地上偶像的名號，使它們被人遺忘；我必除去地上的假先知和污穢的靈。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。

我要從你口中除掉巴力的名字，再也不讓你提起。

你們要謹慎，以免有人失去上帝的恩典，長出苦毒的根擾亂你們，玷污眾人。

不過，你們要謹遵耶和華的僕人摩西吩咐你們的誡命和律法，要愛你們的上帝耶和華，遵行祂的旨意，聽從祂的命令，忠於祂，全心全意地事奉祂。」

追隨假神的人，其愁苦必有增無減。我必不向他們的假神獻上血祭，口中也不提假神的名號。

因此，你們要注意自己的生活，不要像愚昧人，要像有智慧的人。

所以你們要特別謹慎，愛你們的上帝耶和華。

倘若他像今天一樣繼續堅守我的誡命和典章，我必使他的國度永遠穩固。』現在，當著耶和華的會眾——全體以色列人的面，趁著我們的上帝在垂聽，你們要謹遵你們的上帝耶和華的一切誡命，以便你們可以擁有這片佳美之地，並且把它傳給你們的子孫作永遠的產業。「我兒所羅門啊，你要認識你父親的上帝耶和華，誠心樂意地事奉祂，因為祂洞察人心，知道人一切的心思意念。倘若你尋求祂，祂必讓你尋見；倘若你背棄祂，祂必永遠丟棄你。

因為那些人暗地裡做的事就是提起來都覺得可恥。
