“ If you lend money to My people, to the poor among you, you are not to act as a creditor to him; you shall not charge him interest.

“我民中有贫穷人与你同住，你若借钱给他，不可如放债的向他取利。

吾民貧者、與爾偕居、若貸之金、勿為債主、而取其利、

如我民貧乏、而爾貸以金、毋取利、毋迫索。

我民中之貧者、與爾同處、爾若貸之以銀、毋如計利者使之償息、

“ If you lend money to one of my people among you who is needy, do not treat it like a business deal; charge no interest.

“ Suppose you lend money to one of my people among you who is in need. Then do not treat it like a business deal. Do not charge any interest at all.

“ If you lend money to any of my people with you who is poor, you shall not be like a moneylender to him, and you shall not exact interest from him.

“ If you lend money to any of my people who are in need, do not charge interest as a money lender would.

“ If you lend silver to my people, to the poor person among you, you must not be like a creditor to him; you must not charge him interest.

“ If you lend money to any of My people who are poor among you, you shall not be like a moneylender to him; you shall not charge him interest.

If thou lend money to any of my people with thee that is poor, thou shalt not be to him as a creditor; neither shall ye lay upon him interest.

“ If you lend money to My people, to the poor person among you, you must not be like a moneylender to him; you must not charge him interest.

If thou lend money to[ any of] my people[ that is] poor by thee, thou shalt not be to him as an usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him usury.

He does not lend his money at interest, Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. One who does these things will never be shaken.

‘ Now in case a countryman of yours becomes poor and his means among you falter, then you are to sustain him, like a stranger or a resident, so that he may live with you.Do not take any kind of interest from him, but fear your God, so that your countryman may live with you.You shall not give him your silver at interest, nor your food for profit.

“ You are not to charge interest to your countrymen: interest on money, food, or anything that may be loaned on interest.You may charge interest to a foreigner, but to your countrymen you shall not charge interest, so that the Lord your God may bless you in all that you undertake in the land which you are about to enter to possess.

and if he does not lend money at interest or take interest, if he keeps his hand from injustice and executes true justice between one person and another,

So I thought it over and contended with the nobles and the leading people, and said to them,“ You are lending at interest, each to his brother!” Therefore, I held a great assembly against them.

One who increases his wealth by interest of any kind, Collects it for one who is gracious to the poor.

he keeps his hand from the poor, does not take any kind of interest on loans, but executes My ordinances, and walks in My statutes; he will not die for his father’s guilt, he will certainly live.

Among you they have taken bribes to shed blood; you have taken interest, you have injured your neighbors by oppression, and you have forgotten Me,” declares the Lord God.

So she came and told the man of God. And he said,“ Go, sell the oil and pay your debt, and you and your sons can live on the rest.”

Woe to me, my mother, that you have given birth to me As a man of strife and a man of contention to all the land! I have not lent, nor have people lent money to me, Yet everyone curses me.

lends money at interest and takes interest; will he live? He will not live! He has committed all these abominations, he shall certainly be put to death; his blood will be on himself.

For there were those who said,“ We, our sons, and our daughters are many; therefore let’s get grain so that we may eat and live.”And there were others who said,“ We are mortgaging our fields, our vineyards, and our houses so that we might get grain because of the famine.”There also were those who said,“ We have borrowed money for the king’s tax on our fields and our vineyards.And now our flesh is like the flesh of our brothers, our children like their children. Yet behold, we are forcing our sons and our daughters to be slaves, and some of our daughters are forced into bondage already, and we are helpless because our fields and vineyards belong to others.”

And likewise I, my brothers, and my servants are lending them money and grain. Please, let’s do without this interest.Please, give back to them this very day their fields, their vineyards, their olive groves, and their houses, as well as the hundredth part of the money and of the grain, the new wine, and the oil that you are charging as interest from them.”

And so why did you not put my money in the bank, and when I came back, I would have collected it with interest?’

Then you ought to have put my money in the bank, and on my arrival I would have received my money back with interest.
