求你把你的惱怒傾倒在他們身上，使你的烈怒追上他們。

誰曉得你怒氣的威力，誰按著你該受的敬畏曉得你的忿怒呢？

因此，願你使他們的兒女遭受饑荒，把他們交給刀劍（“刀劍”原文作“刀劍的手”）；願他們的妻子喪夫失子；願他們的男人被殺死，他們的壯丁在戰場上被刀劍擊殺。

在他盛怒之下，誰能站得住呢？他的烈怒誰能受得了呢？他的忿怒像火一般噴出來，磐石在他面前都崩裂了。

可是你一直硬著心腸，不肯悔改，為自己積蓄神的忿怒，就是他彰顯公義審判的那天所要發的忿怒。神必照各人所作的報應各人：以永生報答那些耐心行善、尋求榮耀尊貴和不朽的人，卻以震怒和憤恨報應那些自私自利、不順從真理而順從不義的人；把患難和愁苦加給所有作惡的人，先是猶太人，後是希臘人，

他們的青年被火吞滅，他們的少女也聽不見結婚的喜歌。他們的祭司倒在刀下，他們的寡婦卻不能哀哭。

要給人，就必有給你們的；並且要用十足的升斗，連按帶搖，上尖下流地倒在你們懷裡；因為你們用甚麼升斗量給人，就必用甚麼升斗量給你們。”

唯有你是可畏的，你的烈怒一發出，誰能在你面前站立得住呢？

落在永活的神手裡，真是可怕的。

因為神所降的災難使我恐懼，因他的崇高我不敢妄為。

這是惡人從神所得的分，強暴的人從全能者所得的業。即使他的兒女增多，還是被刀劍所殺，他的子孫也必永不得飽食；他的遺族在死人中埋葬，他的寡婦也都不哀哭。
