『賊挖窟窿、若給人發現、而被擊打，以致於死，那人是沒有流人血之罪的。

人若遇见贼挖窟窿，把贼打了，以至于死，就不能为他有流血的罪。

贼挖洞，若被发现而被打死，打的人没有流血的罪。

倘若有人打死正入屋偷窃的贼，这人不算犯杀人罪。

但這一點你們卻要曉得：家主若知道賊甚麼更次要來，他就要儆醒，不容他的房屋被挖透。

報血仇的在逃罪城境界外遇着他，而報血仇的把那殺人的殺了，報血仇的是沒有流人血之罪的。

『別為自己積儹財寶在地上了；地上有蟲子和鏽能弄壞，地上有賊能挖窟窿來偷。你只要為自己積儹財寶在天上；那裏既沒有蟲子、也沒有鏽能弄壞；那裏也沒有賊能挖窟窿去偷。

我醫治以色列的時候，以法蓮的罪孽就顯露，撒瑪利亞的壞行為就現出；因為他們行虛假，內有賊人進屋，外有強盜羣襲擊。

殺人的、天未亮就起來，屠殺困苦貧窮的人；夜間又去作賊。

因為你們自己明確地曉得主的日子就像個賊夜裏來到一樣。

牠們蹦撞着城，竄上了牆，爬進房屋，像盜賊由窗戶進去。
