“ If people quarrel and one person hits another with a stone or with their fist and the victim does not die but is confined to bed,

“ Suppose two people get into a fight and argue with each other. One hits the other with a stone or his fist. And the person who was hit does not die but has to stay in bed.

“ When men quarrel and one strikes the other with a stone or with his fist and the man does not die but takes to his bed,

“ Now suppose two men quarrel, and one hits the other with a stone or fist, and the injured person does not die but is confined to bed.

“ When men quarrel and one strikes the other with a stone or his fist, and the injured man does not die but is confined to bed,

“ Now if people have a quarrel and one strikes the other with a stone or with a fist, and he does not die but is confined to bed,

“ If men contend with each other, and one strikes the other with a stone or with his fist, and he does not die but is confined to his bed,

And if men contend, and one smite the other with a stone, or with his fist, and he die not, but keep his bed;

“ When men quarrel and one strikes the other with a stone or his fist, and the injured man does not die but is confined to bed,

And if men strive together, and one smite another with a stone, or with[ his] fist, and he die not, but keepeth[ his] bed:

“ If men fight, and one strikes his neighbor with a stone or with his fist and he does not die, but must remain in bed,

“ If men quarrel and one strikes the other with a stone, or with his fist, and he doesn’t die, but is confined to bed;

“ Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result,

I your servant had two sons. They got into a fight with each other in the field, and no one was there to separate them. One struck the other and killed him.

The next day he went out and saw two Hebrews fighting. He asked the one in the wrong,“ Why are you hitting your fellow Hebrew?”

“ If people are fighting and hit a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely but there is no serious injury, the offender must be fined whatever the woman’s husband demands and the court allows.

“‘ If anyone strikes someone a fatal blow with an iron object, that person is a murderer; the murderer is to be put to death.Or if anyone is holding a stone and strikes someone a fatal blow with it, that person is a murderer; the murderer is to be put to death.Or if anyone is holding a wooden object and strikes someone a fatal blow with it, that person is a murderer; the murderer is to be put to death.The avenger of blood shall put the murderer to death; when the avenger comes upon the murderer, the avenger shall put the murderer to death.If anyone with malice aforethought shoves another or throws something at them intentionally so that they dieor if out of enmity one person hits another with their fist so that the other dies, that person is to be put to death; that person is a murderer. The avenger of blood shall put the murderer to death when they meet.“‘ But if without enmity someone suddenly pushes another or throws something at them unintentionallyor, without seeing them, drops on them a stone heavy enough to kill them, and they die, then since that other person was not an enemy and no harm was intended,the assembly must judge between the accused and the avenger of blood according to these regulations.

If two men are fighting and the wife of one of them comes to rescue her husband from his assailant, and she reaches out and seizes him by his private parts,
