Marriage[ is] honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if[ there be] any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Neither shalt thou commit adultery.

For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to[ her] husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of[ her] husband.So then if, while[ her] husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

And the man that committeth adultery with[ another] man’s wife,[ even he] that committeth adultery with his neighbour’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour’s wife, to defile thyself with her.

They were[ as] fed horses in the morning: every one neighed after his neighbour’s wife.Shall I not visit for these[ things]? saith the LORD: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

And of them shall be taken up a curse by all the captivity of Judah which[ are] in Babylon, saying, The LORD make thee like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire;Because they have committed villany in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbours’ wives, and have spoken lying words in my name, which I have not commanded them; even I know, and[ am] a witness, saith the LORD.

Whose ways[ are] crooked, and[ they] froward in their paths:To deliver thee from the strange woman,[ even] from the stranger[ which] flattereth with her words;Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.

And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in[ his] wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger[ from his right], and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.

Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves.For the goodman[ is] not at home, he is gone a long journey:He hath taken a bag of money with him,[ and] will come home at the day appointed.With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him.He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it[ is] for his life.Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong[ men] have been slain by her.Her house[ is] the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.

And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her house.And the woman conceived, and sent and told David, and said, I[ am] with child.
