他又問女兒們：「現在那人在哪裡？你們怎麼可以丟下他不管呢？去請他來吃點東西。」

父親對眾女兒說：“他在哪裡？你們為甚麼撇下那人呢？去請他來吃飯。”

父親問女兒們說：『他在哪裏？你們為甚麼撇下這個人呢？去請他來喫飯。』

父曰、其人安在、胡為遺之、請之來食、

曰、其人安在、因何遺之、請來食餅。

父謂女曰、此人安在、爾何遺之、可請來食餅、

“ And where is he?” Reuel asked his daughters.“ Why did you leave him? Invite him to have something to eat.”

And he said unto his daughters, And where is he? Why is it that ye have left the man? Call him, that he may eat bread.

“ So where is he?” he asked his daughters.“ Why then did you leave the man behind? Invite him to eat dinner.”

And he said unto his daughters, And where[ is] he? why[ is] it[ that] ye have left the man? call him, that he may eat bread.

Then Jacob offered a sacrifice on the mountain and invited his relatives to eat the meal. They ate the meal and spent the night on the mountain.

They got their gifts ready for Joseph’s arrival at noon, for they had heard that they were to have a meal there.

When Laban heard this news about Jacob, his sister’s son, he rushed out to meet him. He embraced him and kissed him and brought him to his house. Jacob told Laban how he was related to him.

But no stranger had to spend the night outside, for I opened my doors to the traveler–

Do not neglect hospitality, because through it some have entertained angels without knowing it.

And let me get a bit of food so that you may refresh yourselves since you have passed by your servant’s home. After that you may be on your way.”“ All right,” they replied,“ you may do as you say.”

So they came to him, all his brothers and sisters and all who had known him before, and they dined with him in his house. They comforted him and consoled him for all the trouble the LORD had brought on him, and each one gave him a piece of silver and a gold ring.

and has a reputation for good works: as one who has raised children, practiced hospitality, washed the feet of the saints, helped those in distress– as one who has exhibited all kinds of good works.

He said,“ Here, my lords, please turn aside to your servant’s house. Stay the night and wash your feet. Then you can be on your way early in the morning.”“ No,” they replied,“ we’ll spend the night in the town square.”But he urged them persistently, so they turned aside with him and entered his house. He prepared a feast for them, including bread baked without yeast, and they ate.

Laban said to him,“ Come, you who are blessed by the LORD! Why are you standing out here when I have prepared the house and a place for the camels?”So Abraham’s servant went to the house and unloaded the camels. Straw and feed were given to the camels, and water was provided so that he and the men who were with him could wash their feet.When food was served, he said,“ I will not eat until I have said what I want to say.”“ Tell us,” Laban said.
