我向哪一個少女說：『請你放下水瓶來，給我水喝』，她若說：『請喝！我也給你的駱駝喝』，願她作你所選定給你僕人以撒的妻。這樣，我就知道你施恩給我的主人了。」話還沒說完，看哪，利百加肩頭上扛着水瓶出來。利百加是彼土利所生的；彼土利是亞伯拉罕的兄弟拿鶴妻子密迦的兒子。那少女容貌極其美麗，是未曾與人親近的童女。她下到井旁，打滿了瓶子的水，就上來。僕人跑上前去迎着她，說：「請你讓我喝你瓶子裏的一點水。」少女說：「我主請喝！」就急忙拿下瓶子托在手上，給他喝水。那少女給他喝足了，又說：「我也為你的駱駝打水，直到駱駝喝足了。」她就急忙把瓶子裏的水倒在槽裏，又跑到井旁打水，為所有的駱駝打了水。

又有撒冷王麥基洗德帶着餅和酒出來；他是至高神的祭司。

雅各對他們說：「他平安嗎？」他們說：「平安。看哪，他女兒拉結和羊一起來了。」雅各說：「看哪，日正當中，不是牲畜聚集的時候。你們取水給羊喝，再去牧放吧！」他們說：「我們不能這樣，必須等所有的羊羣聚集，人把石頭移開井口，我們才可以取水給羊喝。」雅各正和他們說話的時候，拉結和她父親的羊來了，因為她是牧羊的。雅各看見他舅父拉班的女兒拉結和舅父拉班的羊羣，就上前把石頭移開井口，取水給舅父拉班的羊喝。

法老給約瑟起名叫撒發那特‧巴內亞，又將安城的祭司波提‧非拉的女兒亞西納給他為妻。約瑟就出去治理埃及地。
