and the Lord said to him,“ Go down and warn the people so they do not force their way through to see the Lord and many of them perish.

耶和华因为伯．示麦人偷窥他的约柜，就击杀他们；他击杀了七十人（“七十人”大多数文本都作“五万零七十人”，少数文本作“七十人”）。众人因为耶和华用大灾击杀他们，就哀哭起来。

耶和华说：“不可过到这里来；要把你脚上的鞋脱掉，因为你所站的地方是圣地。”

他又说：“你不能看我的脸，因为没有人看见了我还能活着。”

你要在山的周围给人民定界限，说：‘你们要谨慎，不可上山来，也不可触摸山脚；凡是触摸着那山的，必要把他处死。不可用手触摸他，必须用石头把他打死，或用箭射透；无论是牲畜，是人，都不得生存。’当号角声拖长的时候，你们才可以上到山上来。”

你到神的殿，脚步要谨慎；近前聆听，胜于愚昧人献祭，因为他们不知道所作的是恶的。（本节在《马索拉文本》为4:17）

摩西说：“我要到那边去，看看这大异象，这荆棘为什么烧不掉？”

因此，我们既然领受了不能震动的国，就应该感恩，照着神所喜悦的，用虔诚敬畏的心事奉他；因为我们的神是烈火。
