Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Look, I’m going to rain down food from heaven for you. Each day the people can go out and pick up as much food as they need for that day. I will test them in this to see whether or not they will follow my instructions.

耶和华对摩西说：“我要将粮食从天降给你们。百姓可以出去，每天收每天的份，我好试验他们遵不遵我的法度。

耶和华对摩西说：“看哪，我要从天降食物给你们。百姓可以出去，每天收集当天的分量。这样，我就可以考验他们是否遵行我的指示。

永恆主對摩西說：『看吧，我要從天上將食物降給你們；人民可以出去，每天撿每天的分兒，我好試驗他們遵不遵行我的法度。

耶和華諭摩西曰、我必自天雨糧、民宜日出、斂日所需、以試其遵我法律否、

耶和華諭摩西曰、我必自天雨餅、以贍汝用、使民出外、日斂所需、我行是以試民、果遵我例否。

主諭摩西曰、我將為爾曹自天雨糧、使民出、一日斂一日所需、以試其能遵行我律否、

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions.

Then the Lord spoke to Moses. He said,“ I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people must go out each day. Have them gather enough bread for that day. Here is how I will test them. I will see if they will follow my directions.

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Behold, I am about to rain bread from heaven for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in my law or not.

Then the LORD said to Moses,“ I am going to rain bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. This way I will test them to see whether or not they will follow my instructions.

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, so that I may test them, whether or not they will walk in My instruction.

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you. And the people shall go out and gather a certain quota every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in My law or not.

Then said Jehovah unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or not.

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ I am going to rain bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. This way I will test them to see whether or not they will follow My instructions.

Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ I am going to rain bread from heaven for you, and the people will go out and gather the amount for each day, so that I may test them. Will they walk in my law or not?

Then Yahweh said to Moses,“ Behold, I will rain bread from the sky for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in my law or not.

All of them ate the same spiritual food,

So Moses cried out to the Lord for help, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. Moses threw it into the water, and this made the water good to drink. It was there at Marah that the Lord set before them the following decree as a standard to test their faithfulness to him.

They asked for meat, and he sent them quail; he satisfied their hunger with manna— bread from heaven.

He rained down manna for them to eat; he gave them bread from heaven.They ate the food of angels! God gave them all they could hold.

“ You gave them bread from heaven when they were hungry and water from the rock when they were thirsty. You commanded them to go and take possession of the land you had sworn to give them.

But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.”

Remember how the Lord your God led you through the wilderness for these forty years, humbling you and testing you to prove your character, and to find out whether or not you would obey his commands.

He fed you with manna in the wilderness, a food unknown to your ancestors. He did this to humble you and test you for your own good.

After all, our ancestors ate manna while they journeyed through the wilderness! The Scriptures say,‘ Moses gave them bread from heaven to eat.’”Jesus said,“ I tell you the truth, Moses didn’t give you bread from heaven. My Father did. And now he offers you the true bread from heaven.

First, help me never to tell a lie. Second, give me neither poverty nor riches! Give me just enough to satisfy my needs.

Give us today the food we need,

Their daily responsibilities were carried out according to the terms of a royal command.

These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
