他們祈求，他就使鵪鶉飛來，並用天上的糧食使他們飽足。

你從天上賜下糧食給他們充飢，使水從磐石流出給他們解渴。你吩咐他們進去，得你起誓應許要賜給他們的地。

降嗎哪像雨，給他們吃，將天上的糧食賜給他們。

以色列家給這食物取名叫嗎哪，它的樣子像芫荽子，顏色是白的，吃起來像和蜜的薄餅。

他磨煉你，任你飢餓，將你和你列祖所不認識的嗎哪賜給你吃，使你知道，人活着，不是單靠食物，乃是靠耶和華口裏所出的一切話。

他降雪如羊毛，撒霜如灰燼。
